Trying to figure out contracts but I'm realizing I don't know what chem means for a dot.

Is a dot on a low contract just fucked? Or is the penalty manageable within the context of the roster?

Yeah, don't offer low contracts.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/team/201

I got 43 players, no low contracts, almost all high.

So medium or better is totally affordable then, hadn't gotten into the math yet.

What is the deal with Chem though?

From what I could tell, your dots made a lot of bad decisions and fumbled the ball a lot.

Right now all teams have 0 chem, so the level of play if going to increase exponentially with the SPs and the chem both going up at the same time.

On the test server, all dots started at 100 chem, the only dots with less than 100 were the low contracts (who maxed at 50).

Sign them all to medium and then offer High based on what cap room is remaining.

You don't roll any saved cap over to next year, so just like a government budget, you better spend it.

High contract = +25 Heart and +150% Chem recovery.

Sounds like you could cycle the high contracts through and allow your team to completely recover chem much quicker.

Hmmm... I guess your players chose a lot of expensive traits.

CornBlade doesn't like that. I broke egotist on the test server, so they assigned a huge salary penalty to having it (and they reduced the SP bonus from 8% to 5%). It was the first nerf of GLB2.

You have played how many seasons of GLB1 and still don't know what chemistry does?

Nobody likes that everyone takes a skill...it makes the skill itself lame. Hence nerfs to all the best skills of all time. Some skills are hilarious and cool while you are dominating with them but a skill like Egotist legitimately is stupid. It is a skill everyone is going to automatically take. I would actually rather it be removed.

In his defense, chemistry was coded badly in GLB1, so would expect things to be different here.

Looking at teams from leagues that already played, it appears you get "about 5" chem back per game. Obviously influenced by contract level and appears to either be related to dot attributes or have a random component to it as well, as I saw some with medium contracts with 4, 5, and 6 chem after the game.

Also looks like High Contracts on Time Trial's team linked above are only getting back 4,5,6 chem too. Not so sure the 150% chem return aspect is working the way we'd think?
