To shorten seasons. They used to last two months.

Because everyone bitched about the 9 game season.

Also the GLBPA managed to negotiate one fewer game per season than the NFL.

why not 14 or 16? I want even numbers!

It is 14 games

12 team leagues. Play division twice (6 games), everyone else once (8 games). 14 total games. I like it. Division rivalries can form.

I think this is how it works anyhow right?

Division games are also at the beginning then again at the end of the season.

We thought it would be cool to see how you match up when everyone is still fresh faced for the season, then again after people have hammered out the kinks.

1st game is "Next Game". Games 2-14 are "Unplayed Games".
