I thought I could set specific depth charts for each formation? But all I got on my team page is the ability to set one for goal line and one for all others.

After the first test season Bort didnt like the way offense was abusing the depth charts so it got taken away offensively. Defense still has it though.
I actually like it. Forces you to plan a little bit more and have a team identity. It is a better reflection of football where you don't see full backs and running backs being pure pass catchers for instance, or run only quarterbacks.

pretty much this. Bort seen that we were using certain formations as RQB's, Blocking WR's, blocking FB's, power backs, and then others as scat, scat, pass, blah blah.

and defensively you cant gameplan per formation so it was nearly impossible to defense.
so we cant choose to pass to our scat FB instead of our blocking FB?
this shit is retarded.
this shit is retarded.

That feature should return at some point IMO with some sort of system defensively to match up with specific types of players. Match-ups are a big part of football and the great offenses out there know how to be multiple and use each player to the best of their abilities.
I don't think the feature should return on a formation basis alone but rather have it be percentage based to allow different personnel groupings. Scouting opponents beforehand by watching replays should allow you to make the proper adjustments each game. Even something as simple as specific defensive assignments for man coverage should work to some degree.
Don't rush it back as it needs to be done right but don't just discount the idea completely as there is always a way to program and balance this kind of stuff in over time. Development challenges always occur and some things don't behave as you expect them to but there is almost always a workaround unless you are attempting something that is just not possible on the hardware level.

Eh I like it. It is too easy to exploit no matter how you look at it. Plus defensively you are only able to do by WR #. And Bort is pretty much strict on that so that isn't gonna change. Which means you pretty much aren't gonna get the customs you want offensively.

Since there basically is no thing as a scat FB in football, I think that is a good thing.

Marcel Reece would disagree .... but that is the exception.

sproles is pretty much the definition of scat back. reggie bushwas too when he was on the saints.
dont compare this to the NFL. NFL players dont just run out of bounds or stare at a QB in open field when he is rolling out.

Last time I checked neither Sproles nor Bush played full back
