We do need to stay on schedule here.

note that on day 22, mdb sent a scrim rqst to Medford for day 24 that did not get a response. Owner of medford did log on briefly on day 23.

I have asked mdb to send another request for day 26. if that request gets does not get accepted, we will have to DQ Medford in an effort to keep moving forward with the rounds. I have PM'd owner of Medford on day 22, and again today. Unfortunately, no co-owner to PM.

Hopefully he signs in tonight or tomorrow and it is a non-issue. but just wanted to keep everyone up to date on where we stood.

All possible games are scheduled at this point. We have a few games coming up in the next couple days.

PLEASE start to set up your next game as soon as the previous game is simmed. You don't need me to update the bracket to know who you play next. That goes for the teams waiting as well. It doesn't matter who sends the scrim rqst. If you are waiting for a game to play to find out your next opponent, if you see the winner, go ahead and send the scrim rqst.

Couple things of note on placing now that we are getting down to the end.

1. Per my previous response. Loser bracket champ will have to win twice to win title as if they win game 62 the first time, it would only be the 1st loss for the team from the winner's bracket who should also be entitled to benefit from double elimination : http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=5128812&page=3#47921876

2. Placing
1st place = winner of championship game* (game # 62)
2nd place = loser of championship game* (game #62)
3rd place = loser of game #61
4th place = loser of game #59

3. In general everyone has been keeping up with their team responsibilities and I appreciate that. Thank you very much for that.

Hey guys, as we get close to the end and scheduling is an issue, lets try to use earlier scrims so we don't lose a day of scheduling. Also please consider instant scrims if needed.

This has actually been a fun tourney for me as a double elimination, but I think I underestimated the difficulty in getting these games scheduled in a timely manner since so many games require others to wait for the result for an earlier matchup.

I received a PM of concern from one owner, and felt it best to address everyone in case others had similar concerns

I am frustrated as well. Double elimination seemed like a good idea at the time, but there are just too many games that took too long to get scheduled. From my end, I have PM'd EVERY owner as soon as their game was able to be scheduled to ensure both teams were aware of their obligations. Not sure what else I could have done. Just too many rounds, but I do feel it has made for an entertaining tourney.

As far as it going into the playoffs, definitely an issue I was not able to predict and was certainly not my intention when I set it up. The others still in the tourney are in the same situation, so it is to no-one's advantage. I know some don't trust it, but I have NEVER had an issue with the tactics calendar. It is your friend.

If you have concerns over the way I run this tourney as a volunteer, perhaps you may want to consider not signing up next season. I feel I work very hard at trying to keep owners informed of the progress, but I also understand there is no pleasing everyone. No offense will be taken.
