Yeah, seems like last time I was in University we dealt with this.

It all depends on how "happy" a particular income group is and where the prices are at. You can have cheap tickets but if they are at 150% of the normal price then you better have the medium income folks really happy instead then and such.

Consequently what I do to combat this thing is put the cheaper tickets at or near the cost of the real price such that at least all tickets that need to be sold for game 1 are sold quickly, then I can tweak the prices upwards across the board until they all hit 150% range. The most important thing is to not let a single ticket go unsold cause if you think about the most profitable seat upgrades, it takes 2.5 seasons to break even on a seat (20 games). By the end of this season, all construction upgrades should be completed and most of the seating upgraded as well.

I don't know the exact math but think of it this way
if your "low income" is 100% happy and "medium income" is 20% happy, then you might wanna keep all your tickets at the suggested base cost (probably -5% to +10% of base cost)
if your "medium income" is 100% happy and "high income" is 20% happy, then ou might wanna keep all your tickets a bit above suggested base cost (probably +10% to +20% of base cost)
if your "high income" is 100% happy then for sure ticket prices at 150% of base cost will sell out as well.

but it seems; if you sold tix at a price last season... and your support is higher.... you're still stuck at this level selling at or even below what you were before in some areas. at a higher age, support.... you should be able to squeeze out more and that just doesnt seem to happen at this level in most cases

If you do not win a trophy, your sells in the next season aren't going to be automatic the following season. Just the way it has always been. I tend to give a 25 to 30% discount on season tickets to get a large base of my tickets sold before spending the preseason seeing how high I can keep it and still sell out tickets.

We are having trouble selling tickets as well.
They are selling, but very slowly.
I am glad we played away for the first game.
