For those that were not around last, please note the following:
This is the first week where I will show the previous week's ranking and it will show as (3). Newly ranked teams that were not raked the week previous will show (NR).
This ranking is loosely based on fact and largely based on opinion. Thanks for reading. Please post and comment!
1. All Pro Falcons (1) - They only put up 579 yards against Dunt Hill... However, no rest for All Pro with a week 3 match-up against the TazVikes. I think All Pro learned from last year and will produce another solid season, but this game could be a real tell for both teams.
2. Short Bus Window Lickers (3) - They seem determined to play every game close, but so far they have beat two potential playoff teams and are still standing tall. This week's victory over the Bears was a great watch and a very impressive victory. SBWL faces a favorable schedule over the next few games and could go on a nice run before facing a tough run of Oklahoma, Royal, Chaos, GTS and Hired Guns.
3. Fighting Gamecocks (2) - Played two pretty good teams in the first two weeks and has yet to hit a speed bump. FGC has a pretty favorable schedule headed to them the next few weeks. Don't be surprised if they go on a nice little streak to open up the season. They take a step down this week, but only due to the big win of SBWL over Gerr's Bears.
4. Whodey's Experiment (4) - WE looked great in week 2 with 481 yards and a 4 TD victory. WE has a tough game coming up against Birdman then a slight break maybe before Rookietown, Subersive and All Pro. I'm interested to see the type of product WE will bring to the table this year.
5. TazVikes Nordica (6) - Solid win against Subversive who seems to have had the toughest schedule ever to star the season. I'm very excited about what I see so far from the TazVikes, but week 3 is the tell. Can the TazVikes compete at that high level without Gerr? I'll tell you next week.
6. Hired Guns (7) - Very good bounce back victory over GTS with a 3 TD victory. The Guns look like they have a lot to offer this year and seem to be ready for a nice year. The next four weeks offer a difficult run with the exception of the UWF World Wrestling match-up.
7. Chicago 85' Bears (5) - Gerr has had a tough first two weeks to open the season, but the road lightens up a bit in week 3. Don't put it past Gerr to again have one of the top 3 defenses and rushing attacks in PWG.
8. Royal Cocks (8) - Well, so far Royal has scored 223 points in the first 2 weeks and is shockingly 2-0 (sarcasm maybe). I think Royal is looking at a 6-0 start before a nice match-up against SBWL.
9. East-West and Down Under (NR) - Am I convinced that East-West will be in this ranking next week? Not really... But I do respect two nice wins in the first two weeks and think that based on what they have accomplished, East-West deserves a little love. However, I do expect them to take it on the chin this week against Hired Guns.
10. Minnesota Vikingz (NR) - They make the last spot with nice victories in the first two weeks against S36 playoff teams, but I've got some huge questions about Minnesota. I really question their staying power without LE running the defense. Time will tell!
