The Addicts Casual Tournament has been renamed in honor of a former well respected Casual agent/owner, Alaskan Raven. This tournament will from here on be known as the Ravens Cup in her honor as we will never forget Melissa. Will be ran by myself, Gman, and helped along by other Casual Pro friends and fans

General Information

Welcome to the Official Raven's Cup Casual Pro Tournament. The rules for this year's tournament will be slightly different from the past. So please read closely.

Who is Eligible:

The season 37 tournament is open to Casual League Pro and Casual Regional Pro teams only

Tournament Description:

Two stages : Group and Elimination.

Group Stage:

There will be 6 Groups with 4 teams in each group totaling 24 total teams. Teams will be placed in groups with a consensus ranking system from a few qualified individuals. The goal is to be as balanced as we can within each pool. Every team entered is guaranteed 3 games in this tournament.

The Max Amount of games a team would play is 7. (3 in group play, 4 for the elimination section).
There will be a three day window for each game to be scheduled which allows plenty of time for the tournament to conclude before the regular GLB playoffs. We encourage you guys to use the scrims on demand if needed to finish in time. Just PM each other before an instant scrim is sent so no one is caught unprepared for a matchup. I suggest you turn “off” your scrim on demand setting until you have this coordinated among each other.

Group Stage Scoring:
-- W = 3 points
-- W in OT = 2 points
-- L in OT = 1 point
-- T = 1 point

Elimination Round:
Each pool will have 2 teams moving to the Elimination bracket. The 12 teams that move into elimination from Pool Play will be re-seeded from 1-12 based on the Pool Points scored with ties broken by the GLB tiebreaker rules. seeds 13-16 will be the wildcards that move on from pool play

Scrimmage Rules

When you set up the scrimmage please select these and only these options:

[ ] Enable home team abilities
[ ] Enable salary-based morale bonuses

General Rules
– You will schedule your own matches
– If a GM signs a team up, verification will be made with Owner
– A PM will be sent to owner upon sign-up to verify T.O.C. of the Casual Addicts Tournament.
– You must schedule these scrimmages within the 3 day window provided above (failure to do so may result in a forfeit)
– Each match will cost the team owner 25 Flex Points. If sending a scrim on demand is needed, the team sending the request will have to pay the 50 flex points. Try to be fair and spread it out.
– Once a match is scheduled, it cannot be unscheduled, and there are no Flex Point refunds

UPDATE : I am in the tough spot of making a judgment call due to an unscheduled game as we need to proceed with the elimination bracket. The un-played game is between the Dirty Birds and Little Fiji Firewalkers in Pool B. First of all, shame on both teams for delaying the scheduling of games. When you are dealing with a tourney that has pool play, the pools were posted before day 1, and there is no reason to not just schedule all 3 games right away as you know when the cutoffs are.

On 10/4 I sent a reminder to both owners by PM. The Birds owner did provide me the courtesy of a response and advised that a scrim request had been sent and ignored. Unfortunately, although the PM was read, I received no response from the Firewalkers to confirm or deny those events. The lack of urgency with 18 days notice (pools posted before day 1) to get a game scheduled combined with the lack of communication leads me to believe that the Firewalkers are not 100% committed to this tourney, and there is a chance they could delay the elimination bracket progress as well.

At this point I have decided to DQ the Firewalkers from the entire tourney and award the Dirty Birds a win by forfeit in their H2H matchup. The forfeit score will be 25-0 for tiebreaker purposes as 25 was the average points scored in the tourney by all teams.
