This player is level 16 and I'm unable to add to any of the SA tree except pass block, run block.and get low. Every other SA says prerequisite level not met. Now, for the pancakes SA as an example, I have 70 str and 70 blocking and only 1 into the pancake SA. How in the world cant my prerequisite level not be met?

Because you didn't put anything into the skills before pancake, likewise for the other SA tree

I see, so get low and run block need to be bumped before it will allow anything into the other SA's on that tree [since it does allow get low and run block]?

Put something into get low will allow you to put something into hands, likewise put something into hands will allow you to put something into cut block.

if you don't have any points in hands, you cannot add to cut block.
no points in cut block? then you can't add pancake.

what does your tree look like?

if it's like this for example: 32000
then you can't add to cut block and pancake yet.
plus you can't go over twice the previous number.

It just at the custom from level 8 of 11111

But I understand now. Do you guys think I should have bumped my SA tree sooner? I neglected them to get my 2 primary skills to the soft cap plus level 16 equipment upgrades to my 2 primary skills. I bumped my secondary skills and now I was looking at the SA tree. Anyway, I didnt want to invest in them until my soft cap was reached on my 2 primary skills..

well, the custom doesn't "count" toward the tree points.
they are considered equipment. by that, i mean that those points won't show up when you assign skill points.
so your tree should look like 00000 when you try to assign them, right?
if you want to build pancake, shit...
now i'm confused!
so you can put a point into get low???
if so, then put a point into get low, hands, and cut block.
you should then be able to put the remaining two into pancake and your tree will look like this: 12222 (with the equipment)

either way, you have to build up previous skills to get the next one maxxed out.

i'm still confused because when i added my custom i already had points in run block and hands. but the main thing is this...
if it says prerequisite level not met, add points into the skill ahead of it.

my head hurts!

good luck

The custom equipment at level 8 lets you choose 1 of the 2 sa's trees, it shows as 1 in each of that tree, so why wouldnt it "count"?

it's a personal choice when it comes to SA.
some add early, some later.
you probably did the right thing, as the higher your blocking/strength, the better the SA skills work.
it's NEVER a bad thing to get the primary skills up quickly!
i've seen many a G or OT with 3 or 4 in pancake and 27 str/bl... NOT RECOMMENDED!

good luck with it.

what i meant, was it doesn't count towards the number of points it costs to max out the particular skills.
the first two points on run block, get low, hands and cut block cost two points. pancake costs two.

after that initial two, it will cost you 2 points for the first 4 and 3 for pancake.

so...
if you have custom equipment, you can get all 5 SA up to 3 at a cost of 12 skill points.
without custom it would cost you 23.

No I think you did it the right way, SAs only give a small boost to to your skills, so there would be more of an effect when your main attributes are higher

SA are a multiplier to you attributes. But they all have a hidden value.
