If you look at the spot of the ball before the snap it is just inside the goal-line and not the .5 yard line which is fine they call it the .5 yard line. Then you have a gain of .5 and a turnover of downs.
As an OC I would prefer to go by the nose of the ball like in real life, GLB.
There has probably been discussion on this before but idk of it.
