Hey Guys -

I'm a GLB vet with a DE that I love, and recently I decided to try my hand at SS. What do I need to focus on?

Strength: 18.4 Blocking: 11.35
Speed: 47.2 Tackling: 18.2
Agility: 24.43 Throwing: 10
Jumping: 14.22 Catching: 11.35
Stamina: 23.52 Carrying: 11.35
Vision: 32.2 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 11.35 Punting: 8

Coverage 1-1-1-1-1

Agreed, but, Agility first. Train Jumping/Catching.

I'd train tackling first to be honest. A SS with 18 tackling is a little scary as a last line of defense.

Yeah, I'd set training to tackling too.

Don't neglect strength as well.

Thanks everyone. I guess it's true what they say about SS being one of the toughest builds in the game.
I'm training agility now and will put a good amount of points into it when I boost. I'll also throw a few pts into tackling. But from my experience with a DE tackling doesn't need to be much higher than the mid twenties. Strength I'm less concerned about because I'm not really focused on being a super hard hitter yet. I figured that I'd rather be a good coverage safety now at the lower levels so that when I hit the soft caps in Speed/Agility I can focus on hard hitting.

Also, what are your guys thoughts on SAs for a SS. It seems to me that super vision and change direction are important, but what others are worth of my precious SPs?

Closing speed, wrap-up tackle, diving tackle.

with those stats, don't touch your speed until at least level 20 or higher. agility and tackling are much more important for your guy right now and vision i'd say is alright too until a few more levels. stamina is also something that should be at least around 30 in the next couple of levels

change direction, and super vision. those 5 are the most important until much farther down the road

Why are some of you guys so into jump and catch on your safeties? Do you get the opportunity to get many ints? My SS has 2 ints this season with Jumping@13.78 Catching@ 13.78

Wow, this is so different from a DE where I have one main SA I focus on. Would you say that I should level those SAs equally zero? It seems like closing speed is the most important especially since I have a good amount of points into speed already.

My priorities for my boost are now as follows:

1 - agility
2 - tackling
3 - vision
4 - stamina

SA

1 - closing speed
2 - super vision
3 - change direction

Thoughts? Thanks in advance guys, you've all been really helpful.

Does your opposition have excellent QBs & receivers?

Spot on on the SAs, though I'd add the Stamina incrementally rather than last, one per level. Stamina will increase your game time, more snaps = more xp etc. etc. Once you hit 29/30 just let it rise up on its own. Won't need to touch it after that.

What you doing with your equipment?

I'm splitting time 50/50 with another SS which is why I prioritized it so low. All of my equipment is in speed.
