1) No clue, though I would imagine anybody whose played the game for the five years it's been around has seen most everything, lol. There's definitely a lot of meta-game with trends and counter trends going on.
2) Not sure if there's a simple yes/no...I'd say the answer is "probably"

We are focusing on making all new sites as mobile friendly as possible. All layouts we have scale with screen dimensions, and we are avoiding things that don't work well on touch screens specifically. We would prefer people just be able to use our site directly on their phone as opposed to having to develop and keep up with an app.
