Would be cool if some of the more experienced players could look over my build and spot mistakes or give me some advice for the future. Thanks in advance!

Throwing way way too low... Should atleast be in those numbers without eq! Dont use SP in SAs until lvl 65-70 or after all attributes are done

I actually followed the stickied guide for the Field General-type QB. Is it hopeless enough to justify a retirement and restart at the end of the season or is there a way to turn things around?

You can have that as a training build and have fun with the build! But to get it into a competitive team will be hard because QB:s have the largest competition with a lot of good builders!

But if you want to make your build better you concentrate just on throwing for now, so when you get enough SP to cap it to the next cap do so! In your case getting your 63 throwing to 68. You also need to 3 star enchance the attributes you are going to train the longest (in many cases the yellow stared attributes) with Bonus tokens. With a QB many start multitraining when they get throwing to 73, in your case its probably best you start pretty soon, if you have 15 SP then take throwing to 68 and start multitraining! You probably should take your throwing to somewhere close to 81-85 and keep on training it. You also should put all EQ in throwing.

I dont realy have a build plan for a QB, i make it the way i see the best situation is at that moment, i also dont use the VPB! You could try the VPB (virtual player builder) to see what kind of builds you get!

Thanks for those tips!

There's one thing I don't really understand, though: What is the reason for saving SP until you can cap an atrribute? Until now, I always spent them immediately when I got them (5) from level-ups.

It kinda works like this. You don't spend any SP's until you can reach the next cap of your primary skill (works for secondaries as well... but I'm sticking to the main skill here). So you would start with intense training until your primary until you can hit 48 with your SP's (you might need to boost a little to get there before the end of his first /build season (Saying you should be at 1st cap BEFORE you start your first FULL season). ONLY spend SP's on your primary. Keep intense training it at start of season until you can reach second cap with SP's. Cap and continue training intense. Save SP's until you can reach 3rd cap. Stop intense training and switch to multi-training. Continue saving SP's (including any from boosts) until you can reach next cap. Do it again... and again. You should be nearing 83-88 by end of first season and then can concentrate on other skills. Further training and level gains will push your skill to 100 or more naturally... which is a great goal for any primary skill.
I might not have every detail exact, but that's pretty close to what works.
