My profile is here: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=69512

Barring the unforseen, I'll level to 21 after the next game. Shortly thereafter, I'll use my three levels of boost. With 20 points to distribute, how would you invest them to make this coverage FS the best he could be? Any/all advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Agility to soft-cap would be my first move...
Training Jumping.

How does he play?

Last season I was pretty satisfied with his performance. This season, he's not doing as well, but still okay. So you'd train jumping (for deflections and diving tkls) over catching (Ints)? My problem with deflections is that I frequently get credit for a deflection, but a reciever winds up with possession anyway.

I believe that Jumping would put your FS in a better postion to make a play on that ball.
Add to that, that fact that yo can probably get .5 or better on training that right now while addressing your agility.
I haven't seen him play, but from #'s only....
I would assume that you are over running plays?
I had a problem with that but agility fixed it.

My 22FS is a 60/40 kinda guy....I think you would see a diff on the way he breaks to a ball.

He can max out vision with less points than that. I'd probably do this. Max out both of those. See what you have left after that.

So no one seems to think I should dump more into Speed? Even with all the speed focused recievers out there? I haven't been aiming to make this guy a speed first type, so I'm happy to hear that. But I'm worried about being a step too slow.

Bort's gonna be increasing the amount agility affects your acceleration next season, so if you can get agility up to par with your speed, you'll be as fast, if not faster, than some WRs with 70 or 80 speed

Do you have a source for this please? Excellent if true.

Taking the discussion away from the specific player for a moment, does everyone agree that the best average FS build is Equipment mostly on speed; speed, agility & vision up to the soft cap; then points divided after into Coverage/Hitter skills & SAs?

I would personally put more into speed. I think it's a waste to pump up agility to where it's as high as your speed. An FS really just needs some vision (you might want to get vision up to the soft cap) and tons of speed. I'd train jumping because it helps with diving tackles, but otherwise you're fine.

I can't remember the exact thread it was said in, but Bort himself said it would be coming into play, so it's definitly true. I am sure there are a couple of people on here who will also confirm this, if they read this thread.

And, yeah, that would be the ideal build for an FS, though you might want to concentrate on just one SA tree, rather than both at this point in time. Later on, when SAs in the tree are getting ridiculously expensive, it might be an idea to add to the other, but this early on, focusing on one tree is the way to go.

I'd put speed up to 70 and spend the rest on agility. Seems like right now speed is the key to this game, you can adjust later on for changes.
