With the addition of the second free player last season, has that caused a drop in the amount of dots in our age group? I let some players go last season fully expecting to upgrade the position and I was really surprised just how weakthe FA market was at some positions,

Did the addition of the free dot cause a lot of agents with rookies last season to retire them and re-create this season to keep their dots together?

The way the second free player was handled really kinda threw a wrench into this generation of dots. Just curious what other's thoughts are...

I figured it would cause issues. It was really kinda poorly handled.I hate to complain about it, but just dropping it on us with no forwarning the way they did has, imo, hurt this generation of dots. They should have allowed the dots to have the 3 boosts they would have gotten had they been created in S30 the way the rest of the rookie dots were. I think its really gonna hurt this generation of dots down the road on the recruitment side of things.

I'm considering restarting with a rookie team next season.

Strictly speaking, the more of you who decide to reset, the easier recruiting will be for me.

i dont think its hurt anything as much as the fact there are less people playing, less teams and to be honest its been slim pickings for quite a few seasons. especially well built offensive linemen. i wont go into why i think theres been the significant drop in agents because i'm sure we'll end up havin to call a 'WAH"ambulance but many got turned off and quit and most newbies dont last long.

Personally I think the Difference between a very good dot and a great dots builds are way to significant. In order to build a great dot you almost have to have a PHD. The Drop from a competitive dot and a great dot are so much different that it runs people off. If you could build a Dot and have it be productive through out his career, without having to build exactly and mathematically correct maybe more people would stay. The way the current build plans are now one mistake on your build makes your dot pretty much worthless. Therefore runs people off, especially if your creating multiple dots. Of course just my opinion!!

This much I agree with. The game becomes too much mathball. I think we need more attributes, but a max of 100 per, much the way the Madden/NCAA engines determine player talent.

Yes. It was only for players who were members prior to last season.

I joined in season 31 and didn't get a second free player.

The reason the free agency market is slimmer than before, is there are fewer Agents for starters. Let the cascade begin... fewer agents, fewer dots, fewer dots at every level. I've seen three additional agents leave the game for one reason or another since last season began. By the time we reach semi pro, there is likely to be one league, well, actually two. One real league and one made up of broken rosters and cpu players. How this all effects the level of play at pro is an unknown. If it's the best of the agents and dots left over, we will see some still competition. If it's the other way, the game declines even more. Only two ways to save this game, one a huge influx of Agents, two allow Agents to build dots at any level.

You won't be seeing a sudden influx of new agents. This is a pretty badly run browser based game that is hilariously expensive when you compare it to far more polished games in a online game market that gets tougher each year with so many new games, many of them truly F2P.
