That's what blew my mind. They had actually started adjusting the leagues in the pyramid to put the competitive teams together and exiling the CPUs to their own leagues. Had the "stovepipe" set-up going in BBB to protect underleveled or garbage teams from being thrown into A too early. In typically GLB fashion they completely done away with the pyramid right about the time they just about had it right. Rather than do what was necessary to bring more users to have more teams and players they took the easy way out and just wiped the pyramid.
It's a shame, could of just gave us 16 games to set up against who ever was within some set parameters for challenges and let the pyramid adjust based on some point system depending on who you played and how they were ranked against you. Something that rewarded challenging higher.
