How many teams move down out of the new pro leagues? I understand the pro league/WL interaction, but not the other end of it.

--World League, works as it currently does, top 16 stay, bottom 16 demote.
--Four Pro Leagues (names to be determined) - top 4 from each Pro League promote. Remaining playoff teams stay, bottom 16 demote.
--Regional Pro - works in tiers like it currently does and pulls teams to replace the bottom 16 that have demoted from the Pro Leagues based on how promotions are currently done with emphasis given to the Regional Pro Elite Leagues.

So I guess what you're saying Catch is, if you don't make the playoffs in Pro, you are going to demote to regional pro. That would mean 64 teams from regional pro moving up and 64 moving down. Is that correct?

I guess it's hard for me to fathom that there's 64 teams that are better in regional pro than the ones demoting.

I think it's 16 total. Bottom 2 from each conference in each of 4 pro leagues.

I could be wrong, but that would make the most sense.

That's incorrect.

ALL non playoff teams from the Pro leagues demote.

The point is to have a challenging season in National Pro. Essentially 16 teams with cares, No CPUs and tough games every Game.

So, yes some teams are not going to be good enough and wont make the playoffs, thus demote.

First, it should provide greater competition in Regional Pro as well as better teams end up there.

Also, as the leagues develop and teams move up to Regional Pro, it should bring good teams up.

Now, if you take for instance the teams that move up from Regional Pro to National Pro this offseason. It can be debated if there are 64 teams that are better then the 64 teams that dont make the playoffs. Probably true

However, they had better take the offseason to bring in some talent and Get better or they will have a meat grinder of a season.

Now, if you take last offseason as a case in point. Teams that dont make the playoffs and demote can request to move back up. As teams demote, gut, go CPU or what ever - there were several teams that did not want to stay in Regional pro and moved back up for a more competitive season.

I am sure if you are a team in that boat and you want another shot at National Pro then support can take the requests and move them back up as it makes sense.

In the end there should be 16 teams in each conference that should be ready to battle every game and should get better each season, provided teams keep working to that.

agreed FBfan4life. I think pro is as good as it has been in a long time this season & I think the change worked. What I am wondering is if there are 64 regional pro teams ready for that level, that's a lot of teams. Cutting that number in half might be more realistic & cut down on teams promoting & demoting again in back to back seasons.

maybe have 8 teams from each league demote instead? And have the 17th game be a play-in game depending on seed? With the 9 in Alpha vs 16 seed in Zeta, 10 seed in Alpha vs 15 seed in Zeta, etc
