I really think 10 people is way too many...it should be 1 vote per team and let each team consolidate voting on their own...

THIS

I would have went 3 per team, but hell 32 Votes is enough

Why complicate things.

That isn't going to work.

Come up with something simpler that can be done completely on the GLB forums.

You do the balloting in two phases. Each team in each league nominates two players for each pro bowl slot. (one can be on their team, one cannot). The player with the most "nominations" wins the pro-bowl for that division. You then combine the division winners, and let the entire league vote on the two players nominated for each slot.

In the case of ties, divisional or league, all 16 owners/reps would vote for the tie-breaker.

And how do you plan on doing that using GLB forums only? I don't want to be keeping track of all this information from forum posts.

i posted the format a long time ago and people agreed. i propose we follow this setup this season, and perhaps someone else can step up next season and come up with something better.

Oh well. If it involves my team, and the players on my team, it needs to be kept in open forum, not "off-board" in a bunch of spreadsheets being emailed all over.

You're going to be doing a lot of cut-n-paste either way. I'd prefer it stay public and accessible to everyone.

Note: (added in edit) -- regardless of the outcome, someone will bitch that they didn't get represented, or there is some sort of "fix" going on. It may be more work to do it out in the open, but anyone with sour grapes can do their own math and come up with the same results you do.

it will be public and transparent. with 32 teams, everyone's going to have their own opinion. if you think you have a better solution and also have the time, i am happy to have you conduct the pro bowl.

Y'know, it's really no skin off my dick how the thing is run. But I think that you're going to be arguing the format and "how many" reps per team etc, etc, etc, yada, yada, until the season is over, and the more you quibble, the less participation you'll get.

In other words, if it takes more than 10 minutes and two PM's to vote and participate, you're going to get about 8 owners to participate, and the pro bowl will be the same thing as last year. Fully represented by about 4 teams, and meaningless.

Now, if you're willing to listen, hear me out.

Every team (owner) sends in the name of two candidates for each position.

2 QB, 2 HB, 2 FB, 2 TE, etc, etc. (one can be on their team, one cannot)

You cut and paste their responses into your "spreadsheet", and the QB with the most nominations/votes is the pro bowler, the one with the second most is the alternate.

Quite simple actually, and a lot less trouble than 32 owners trying to get 5 people on each team to vote, etc, etc, etc, yada, yada, yada.

That sets the division pro-bowl teams --- then each owner will vote for 1 each position on each division, and the one with the most votes is the division pro-bowler, the one with the second most votes is the alternate.

In the case of ties, you post the names and vote until you have a clear winner.

But, either way you go, you asked my opinion, and you got it. Good luck.

So, do we know how we are doing this yet? 10 people at this point have not volunteered to participate, but we have at least 5. I just need to know who to submit.

i like reelss format. last year the balloting fell apart, i think like 6 or 7 owners voted. i appreciate the effort to make this happen, and will make sure my team is involved in whatever process we go with.

Who really gives a rat's ass about the "Pro Bowl"? Hell the players in real life don't even give a shit about it.
