Hi there,

I'm building my first Kicker (Boomer). I currently have Kicking at 73.7 (4th Softcap), 87.7 with Equipment. I know when his build is finished he'll have +55 to Kicking from Equipment, and I've calculated he's going to get approx. another 25 from AGLs between now and Level 79. So basically if I stopped putting SPs into kicking now, he'd finish with about 154 Kicking.

So, is that enough? Should I put another few SPs into Kicking, or so I leave it alone (maybe finish training it to get 1 more into it) and move on to the next attribute?

Thanks...

J.

At least to 83, some like me went to 88. He will end up somewhere with 107+ natural kicking. I thing I might stop at 150 kicking and add 10 to strength. I would def take kicking higher, you only have 4 attributes to pump (kick, conf, vision, str) go ahead and take them high. Kicking to 83,conf to 83-87,vision to 77, and the rest to strength is always a good way to go.

Thanks for your answer. Quick question though, there's no difference between 150 Kicking with 40 from Equipment, and 150 Kicking with 50 from Equipment, right? It's still 150?

If so, then why spend so many SP on Kicking to get it to 107 Natural, when you can get it to 100 Natural and let Equipment do the rest? I'd spend more SPs getting Kicking to 107 Natural then I would getting it to 100 Natural and getting something like Strength higher.

Also, what's the order of importance for a Boomer? I know Kicking, Strength and Confidence are the three primarys, but which is more important, Strength or Confidence? And the secondaries are Vision, Jumping and Agilty, what's most important there?

Thanks...

I aim for 160-165 kicking myself. I know a couple guys with 170 kicking who have KO averages of 72 yards plus.

The difference is you can use those extra 10 to put somewhere else if you wanted to. Like getting strength from 92 to 102 if you wanted. Those 10 would be worth like 16 SP's a piece. Or you could put them in confidence and get it 100+ to go with kicking. I may just do that to see what kind of kicker he will be at 55+ yrds a FG. Just gives you more options at end build that you wouldn't have early on, and like I said you only have 4 attributes so why not go hardcore and take them high ,especially the first one kicking.

I get what you're saying. However....

The way I see it, Kicking is going to be the highest Natural Attribute for my player. Say I decide to get Kicking to 6SPs per 1 point (if that makes sense) and then do the rest with equipment (55 in total). Along with AGLs I'd end up with Kicking at about 160 or so, and it would cost me another 7SPs to get it to 161.

Now, say I decide that Strength is my next most important Attribute, and I want to get it to 90. To do that, without equipment (as all the equipment is in Kicking), let's say that means I need to get Strength to 4SPs per 1 point (with the rest AGLs). That would have it at 90 and it would cost 5SPs to get itto 91.

However, if I decided to use 10 equipment in Strength instead (to get it to 90 or so), the amount of SPs I'd save in Strength would *not* be enough to get Kicking up to 160 without that 10 in equipment. That's 'cos Kicking is a much higher 'natural' attribute, so the extra SPs needed for Kicking would cost more than then the ones saved for Strength

The figures I'm using aren't exact (I don't have the softcaps in front of me) but the logic is good. Basically if it's the type of player who has one really important Attribute (like Kicking) then all equipment should go to that Attribute.

Hope that makes sense?

J.
