Wow, what a first game match up!

The Manoa Samoans against Bort's Wrath!!

These two will slug it out, with the winner getting the step up on the division title. (I know it is only the first game of the season, but it could be a tie breaker for the division)

I am predicting a Samoan victory! (nothing against Bort)

BORT WINS! BORT WINS! BORT WINS!

No really, heck of a game Samoa - nothing like 1-point scoring margins to get the blood pumping. Good luck the rest of the (short) way into the playoffs!

Wow, Bort and Manoa were close statistically, and the saving grace for Bort was a pick-6 early on! Great game from both teams.

Game of the day in the Western Conference is:

San Diego Rockstars vs Winnipeg Falcons

Both won their openers, San Diego is the preseason number 2 team!
This game features the top two rushing teams in the West, and both teams are coming off of shut-outs! This should be a real barn burner.

Honorable mention: Bort's Wrath vs Prince George's Kings
another undefeated match-up.

I predict a San Diego victory, and Bort will follow up their squeaker with a nice game to stay undefeated!

Well, I went 1-1 today. San Diego soundly defeated Winnipeg 45-0, while Bort was "upset" by Prince George's Kings, 17-10. As it is, I now stand 1-2 on my season predictions.

today's matchups don't have any major lustre, but the main game will be Grim Afterlife (2-0) at Bort's Wrath (1-1). This promises to be a good one, with an inside track to the playoffs on the line. The other game that looks good is the Winnipeg Falcons (1-1) at the Manoa Samoans (1-1). This is a pivotal game for both teams, as the winner gets to remain in the division title hunt, while the loser is looking up at the rest of the field.

I predict a close Bort victory, and the Samoan's will cruise to a big win.

It looks like I owe Grim Afterlife and Winnipeg Falcons a huge apology!! Both won their games, which I predicted they would both lose. I am now 1-4 on the season with my predictions. I now understand why I never gamble on pro sports, and why I am not a fortune teller! Great games by the "underdogs", by the way!

Bort, you continue to let me down. I hope you continue that trend for your next game, as it is my team you are playing. Has anyone noticed that San Diego Rockstars have not allowed a single point so far this season? Amazing!! This is shaping up to be a great race for the division title!

Was a great game between Afterlife and Bort. Gotta say I didn't think it would be so close.

After taking a game off to analyze my ineffectiveness at prognostication, I return with some good games on the slate. Probably the best game of the day is Prince George's against the Winnipeg Falcons. The other game of the day would be the 4-0 San Diego Rockstars facing the 2-2 Alberta Vampires. My predictions:

Prince George's 17-14 over Winnipeg
San Diego 35-10 over Alberta

To date, I am 1-4 in predicting games. That sucks!

Well, San Diego defeated Alberta 58-0, while Prince George's slipped by Winnipeg 21-13. I am on a two game winning streak!

This week's games feature a heavy weight showdown! Prince George's Kings (5-0) square off against Grim Afterlife (5-0). This should be a great game, with the winner controlling his own destiny for playoff positioning. The loser could be looking at 4th seed or worse. The other game of the day is Northern Lights (4-1) against Winnipeg Falcons (3-2). The Falcons suffered a setback at Prince George's Kings, and looks to climb back into the upper half of the playoff bracket. Northern Lights look to remain in the division title hunt.

My predictions:
Grim pulls off the upset, 21-20.
Winnipeg dumps Northern, 17-10.
