In the spirit of CBSSportline.com and other such sporting websites i've decided to create the completely opinionated top 10 power poll. Hope you enjoy...

1. South Yorkshire Stars 9-0
-- They aren't just beating teams they are totally destroying them. No one has yet to score more than twice in a game against them this season. Add in the fact that their starting RB is on pace for over 2000 yards and 35 TDs and this squad looks almost unstoppable.

2. Transylvania Bloodsuckers 8-1
-- The league's top passer combined with one of the most prolific defenses makes for a serious contender. While no one player stands out amongst the rest, this is a solid team that can put up points with the best of em and still throw a shut out. They are likely the most serious threat left to South Yorkshire this season.

3. Antwerp Jewish Diamond Dealers 8-1
-- Zeta's top dog combines a dominating rushing attack and solid passing game with a smothering defense. The conference favorite to end up in the league championship, Antwerp rides a 7 game win streak into Vatican City before a powerhouse matchup against Quebec.

4. Warsaw Knuckleheads 7-2
-- About as solid and evenly distrubuted as a team can be, Warsaw's only losses have come against the top two rated teams of South Yorkshire and Transylvania. With Warsaw you never know if they'll use the rushing attack all game or throw it through the air to beat you. However, with 5 shutouts so far you do know points will be tough to come by.

5. Basin City Blues 7-2
-- One of the league's top QB to WR combo's leads this powerful offense along with a defense that has held it's last 6 opponents to single digit points. With their only losses against South Yorkshire and Warsaw, they have proven to be a tough team hoping to extend their 7 game winning streak and be a force in the playoffs.

6. Quebec Colored Trombones 8-1
-- An undefeated season was ruined by a shutout loss to the Gators but was quickly avenged by defeating an Amsterdam team that was also undefeated at the time and on top of the conference. Quebec is a high octane offense that doesn't need to rely on its stout defense to defeat you. They can simply just outscore you.

7. Belfast Mafia 7-2
-- With quite possibly the best tactics used in the whole league, the Belfast Mafia just simply know how to win. Their two loses have come against Warsaw and Transylvania as they head into a tough stretch of schedule. Look for this team to do just fine and be a team no one wants to see in the playoffs.

8. Amsterdam Smugglers 7-2
-- A very confident team that appeared to have a solid grip on their conference until back to back losses dropped them down to 4th place. Their rushing game is just too good to have them down for long though so watch for them to jump back up and challenge for one of the conferences top two seeds come playoff time.

9. Konoha Hokages 8-1
-- The "heart attack team" of this year. They have had 7 games decided by 7 pts or less. With a few tougher games coming up we should find out real soon just how good this team really is.

10. Amsterdam Arctic Blast 5-4
-- Don't let that record deceive you. Every team they've lost to is a playoff team and they are the only team to have defeated Transylvania to date. Easily "The Yankees" of our league. If they can ever get on a roll they will shoot up the rankings.

Just missed: Grim, Dublin, Hamburg, Athens

Well there you have it. One "sports reporter's" view on our power rankings for the year to date. Agree... disagree???

I disagree with Amsterdam being up there but i can't complain with the choice, their defeat over Transylvania is impressive and confusing at the same time. When they get everything working they will certainly be a major threat in the league

That's why I called them the Yankees of the league. They have all the talent they could possibly have but they just can't seem to get it together.

I'm glad most everyone enjoys it. It really is amazing and impressive how well many of this league's teams turned out to be this year...

If that occurs then there could be a shake up in the rankings...

I have reviewed the game tape extensively and found their fatal flaw: Quebec rarely converts in 4th-and-20 or longer situations. We will exploit this mercilessly.

Call game, cancel halftime show, return tickets. It's over.
