just because the receiver stopped doesn't mean he turned. He had to come to a stop, but was still facing the center of the field. So when he started running, he started going forward (toward the center of the field) and then tried to cut upfield
however, there really needs to be a pivot in place, that can be use for dots that are not moving so that this doesn't happen
