Mine does. Is your free player the #1 player in [targets]? Because that bug has been around forever.

This. My free player happens to be a WR in the D-leagues, which made checking a pain, but I can confirm that, on the rare occasions he doesn't lead the team in targets, his stat line is highlighted in the box score.
