In an attempt to cover the hottest game in the conference, this week will mark our premier matchup to watch.
(T4, 6-3) Lima Cheetahs vs (T4, 6-3) Darfur Tyrants
Both teams come into this game riding a 2 game winning streak.
Offense: Lima holds a pretty substantial advantage in the passing game, and a slight advantage running the ball.
Offensive guys to watch out for: The right side of the Cheetah's line is solid, and they have an excellent weapon at tight end for blocking and passing. The opposite is true for the Tyrants; their left side is strongest, especially inside following Doziered.
Defense: Lima is slightly better against the run but it's a wash defending the pass.
Defensive guys to watch out for: The defensive ends for Darfur are very good. Lima has had great coverage from their cornerbacks and good safeties to prevent getting beat deep.
Special teams: It's a wash; both are pretty good in this area.
Prediction: The nod has to go to Lima, who benched most of their starters this week to give them rest and get their backups good experience. We expect a 28-13 score in the Cheetah's favor.
If Lima loses this, with their remaining games all against teams over .500, their season may be over. Darfur however has 2 gimme's and a few against lower caliber talent, so they can rebound from a loss. But this game will probably decide who's the better team for a tight 2nd-tier in the lion conference, so it'll be very telling as to who's for real and who isn't.

Week 11 Lion Conference Game of the week:
Cape Verde Kings (10-0) vs South Africa Hitmen (9-1)

Offense: Cape Verde is better at running the ball; they have good run blockers and HB Barclay is one of the best runners in the league. We like South Africa's QB Peyton Montana over Leo Washington, but SA's advantage in the passing game isn't as big as CV's in the run.
Defense: Cape Verde is better against the pass, and they have more experience. Both teams are effective against the run, but we can't see SA holding off the Kings for 4 quarters.

Prediction: This isn't a make or break it game for either team; this is strictly for bragging rights. S. Africa needs the win more than Cape Verde, and after this game they face 9-1 Sahara.
South Africa, however, is looking for a perfect record. They have the talent to do it, so they won't be taking it easy on the Hitmen.

We think this will be a low scoring game despite lots of talent on both offenses. Cape Verde hasn't allowed over 14 pts in a game yet this season. South Africa's only loss was a 10-9 squeaker to Casablance. We think South Africa will pull the upset, and win it 14-10.

Another great one, but I don't like the upset part, LOL!!

SA has beaten better opponents; Cape Verde is somewhat unproven. I have no reason for the upset other than a hunch. No interesting stats, caloric breakdown of meals, shoe sizes of the linemen, etc, just having fun.
Prove me wrong! : )

The other key game for week 11 is Casablanca faces Lima. Both teams are 7-3, so Lima will have to prove themselves for a second straight week against another team tied with them. Without going into much depth, it looks like Lima has a slight edge on the Bogarts, and we have the Cheetahs winning 19-13. Both teams have troubles getting into the end zone and it becomes a soccer game with kickers getting the majority of the work.

You saw that, huh? hahaha
Yeah, right after I posted the pick of SA to win, the team I'd say is the favorite, I decided this game was so closely matched, it'd be my best chance to pick an upset.
I also wouldn't be surprised to see either team put together a game plan that destroys the other team. I'm really looking forward to this game!
My thinking is Peyton Montana will have a good game but Leo Washington may struggle. I'm not sure that Cape Verde will have the success they've had this yr against Verde's run stopping ability, so... who knows.

Two great matchups this week. Our game against Lima is maybe the most important game left in our schedule, as we can clinch the nš4 spot in conference. We've made sme improvements in our offense and the defense stills one of the best in league, so hope we can face up the Cheetahs. It'll sure be a great game.

Go Bogart's!

yup, should be a battle. I don't see a blowout on either side, probably more of a defensive battle. We're hoping Barclay can come through for us.

Yea the Lima game will be fun. As D/C cant wait to see what we hold you guys too. We have a set number of what we'd like but with our offense your never know if you hold them to 10, do you score 13. ect.

As DC of the Bogart's I think the game will be a defensive battle. I hope we win, of course.
