So, I thought I would revive this thread from before. Here are the list of gold winners of all time:

Season 11- Lone Star
Season 12- HHM
Season 13- Tennessee Crabs
Season 14- Tombstone Outlaws
Season 15- SBWL
Season 16- Crackertown Juniors
Season 17- Cascade Surly Goats (3rd Version currently in gold)
Season 18- Fighting Gamecocks
Season 19- Brigate Nere Italia
Season 20- Maine Grenadiers
Season 21- Maine Grenadiers
Season 22- Maine Grenadiers
Season 23- The Insane Asylum

Basically, out of these teams, only two are actively adding to their totals, so it makes comparison difficult. I was wondering if anybody had any opinions on this. My top 5 would be, but Boendby and Cascade are the two toughest to leave off.

Now this is not what I had in mind. SBWL and Chicago are not the same franchise and neither is the combination of Tombstone/Tennessee/Cascade. How can you suddenly combine SBWL and Chicago or the three teams of Tombstone, Tennessee, and Cascade? I was counting one team owner for one franchise. Sure, if you combine like this, I agree with you, but this is not what I had in mind.

I agree that Chicago and Shortbus should be considered separate entities. The question is what to do with the merged team? Consider the merged team it's own unique entity or still call it Chicago since it is still my original Chicago team?

I would call it Chicago, I generally go by the team link, if that changes, the team changes unless the exact same team is reformed with a new link and the same owner like Cascade has been.

1. Maine

4. Chicago

same number of appearances and results for the Bears and Short Bus so I call it a tie. The 1st 3 are clear IMO.

Same owner & same team link is how I would separate teams. Factoring in championships as the main factor with the total body of work within Gold as a tie breaker, I would rate them...

#1 - Maine - 3-peat makes them the unquestionable #1.
#2 - Boendby - 2-1 in championship games plus has been a dominate team pretty much since joining PWG.
#3 - Crackertown - 2-0 in championship games and during the seasons they tried, they were dominate.
#4 - SBWL - 1-2 in championship games and has a long history of being a powerhouse in PWG.
#5 - Chicago - 1-2 in championship games and has a long history of being a powerhouse in PWG.
#6 - Cascade - 1-2 in championship games and during the seasons they tried, they were dominate.
#7 - FGC - 1-1 in championship games and has a long history of being a powerhouse in PWG.
#8 - Tombstone - 1-1 in championship games, but had a short career in PWG.

Everyone else was a 1&done in championship games. Some had a single dominate season and left PWG while others stayed around for a few seasons, but were never able to recapture their dominate ways. Arguments can be made for any of these teams to round out the top 10.

Actually, RK won 4 titles in a row with BNI. No one will ever come close to that even in this watered down league now.

I agree with you that Maine is clearly the best team of all time as they also won many tournaments and other trophies to go with their 3 gold titles. However, if you compare FG to the other 2 teams that won 2 gold titles, FG has many more gold regular season wins, tournament wins, and trophies. That's why I think FG is #2 of all time. However, I can't see any way to argue against Maine being #1, unless FG wins the next 2 gold titles as well.

FG could win the next 10 gold titles and it would still be behind Maine. Talent in PWG matters and there is like 4 teams that have a chance. These topics are meaningless anyway. It's all subjective.

jkid can you honestly compare S19-23's talent to the current talent pool in pee wee gold? As Jackson said, you could win the next 10 titles and you would still be behind the 8 ball here. You won one title when it mattered (S18) now this league is so watered down it doesnt really mean much to win a PWG title.
