collins not to take credit away from those numbers but we faced the hardest competition thus far in the league, melbourne's track record was against possibly the easiest.

i guess its more food for thought but i wouldnt put up those numbers and say theres an edge statisticaly

This game will no doubt tell us the stories of these two teams. Are they as good as advertised or will there be gaping questions at the end of the contest.

Hes got a point, as far as the w-l goes melbourne has had the easiest competition, throught week 8,but that is also a skewed stat seeing as how theres an automatic 8 tacked on to the loss side of that. So who knows. cant wait to see how it turns out.

That's fair enough, and very valid points. Melbourne does indeed have the easiest schedule to date, if you look at the statistics. Melbourne's opponents to date have a combined record of 25-47 (16th), while Bikini Atoll's have a record of 44-28 (1st). That's certainly something to be cogniscant of as we come into the battle. That would cast doubt upon the statistics, true, especially with regards to passing defense, since it's that close. I understand where you're coming from, too: we've had a fairly tough schedule to date, with an opponent's total record of 41-31, good enough for 3rd toughest.

However, the other categories have a rather wide margin, one which I cannot go so far as to say has a direct correlation on the strength-of-schedule. It may, but they're so far ahead of everyone else as to call it into question. The difference in total passing yards is 575 yards, and the total difference in rushing yards 593 yards.

I think Bikini Atoll has a good chance to stun Melbourne. However, I just don't see it happening this week, my friends. I wish both teams the very best, and would very much like to see a closer game than I've predicted.

we're expecting nothing but a good old fashioned dogfight on the field.

Am I confident we can win? Yes.

Do I think it will be a blowout? No.

we added a 16 MLB and a speedy ROLB as well but i'm hoping the chemistry offset doesnt portray into that tomorrow.

All I know is this will be one hell of a game and I am so getting off work early so I can check the score...

I feel as if this entire tonga/melbourne thing has been blown out of proportion I prefer this matchup it seems more simplified than the other one, I believe its because both teams have a mutual imaginary respect for the little circles/dots running around on the screen.

good job guys I am proud to be a member of a league and confrence where people enjoy a bit of competition and still act human and not like animals

The Tonga/Melbourne rivalry has really simmered down here in the last few weeks. Kind of like a calm before the storm, perhaps? We too have a mutual respect, I believe; though we've trash-talked a bit fiercely at times!

I do think you're onto something. This is by far the best rivalry (in Zeta, at least) that no one's talking about. I'm definitely going to be watching this game with heightened interest. One more falls from the ranks of the unbeatens tomorrow, and it'll definitely be hotly contested.

Or will it be a tie...

Such things can happen. That happened last year in my conference; the top two teams tied in their game against each other.

Turnovers could decide this game. They are rated pretty closely 234 Biniki - 240 for Melbourne. They also have played teams of entirely different skill levels. We will see who's game plan works the best with their player's builds.

We've got a pretty tough match up ourselves in Alpha.

Under an hour left until I am quite possibly exposed as the worst defensive coordinator in all of oceania.
