It appears to me to be worse this season than the begging of last to me

I think the offense in general is more powerful, so while slamball might work, a heavy passing attack will also get the trick done. However, I don't think slamball is as powerful as it was because at it's recent height, you could average 3.0+ YPC even against an anti-run defense. I don't think you can do that here. It's more like 2.5 YPC now where it was under 2.0 YPC when rushing was nerfed. While I have not tested this new sim much, so far seems like a nice balance, but will likely result in high scores.

Passing is inconsistent for me so far. One game I passed for 438 yards pretty much all in three quarters. The forth quarter was probably the worst passing I have seen. The following game I went 16-59 for 93 yards. Bad ball was in full effect. If dots had helmets my QBs would have been hitting them in the back. They were not going past the first progression almost all the time with zero pressure.
When passing is working it looks awesome, but I am switching to slam ball.

Overall, I'm currently averaging more yards per pass than I am per rush, though rushing is more consistent. That said, I do believe rushing is less consistent than it used to be. I still occasionally get hit for 1 or 1.5 yards... but then I'll rumble through the pile for 6. Both passing and rushing are enough to get 1st downs frequently (though that's also typically easy during the beginning of past seasons as well).
For what it's worth, during the testing phase, I recommended they buff tackling a little, since I was averaging about 2.9-3.2 yards per carry on runs classified as "up the middle". That was using playoff-built dots, though. It's hard to compare to right now when everyone hasn't even spent their 15 points yet. Especially since LBs/CBs don't usually take strength or tackling as one of their top 2 attribs. The other factor is that they've made changes since that testing phase, so who knows what the effect is since then. :/
