so how do you feel about any or all of the changes that were announced?


1. i am concerned that the "tackling while being blocked" nerf ( my opinion ) will cause the inside run to be further overpowered.

2. "slower defensive reaction" to pitches...as an agent with an elusive hb, i am somewhat excited to see how this turns out, but as an owner/def coord, i worry that the overall changes will overpower offenses as a whole and defenses will suffer...at least on the casual level with limited ai.

having watched the running game dwindle to absolutely nothing after their mid-season nerf, I'm happy to see anything positive to get our RB's going again (as the OC). We'll see how it effects the DC aspect of the game in Casual. I'll be positive thus far (as the DC as well).

there was a time when you could have the best of both worlds in casual, a successful run game if you had good blocking, speed, agility and chose the right percentages. a killer defense if you had good speed, good team tackling and good vision.

i really don't want this to be viewed as casual vs regular thread, it's just that changes affect all aspects of this game, casual and regular alike, but it's easier to "roll with the punches" in regular leagues imo. like eric, i try to remain positive however.

I personally have seen a decrease in inside rushing gains while average gains on the outside remain a bit high. I've been seeing it from both an offensive and defensive standpoint. Last season, it was the opposite. Not that it mattered much for me since my team was 10 levels behind all but one team in the league.

I specifically have seen more success on pitch plays, often with that type having the largest average gains out all rushing plays.

yeah, that was one of this season's changes. reduced reaction time to pitches. it's pretty obvious that 90-95 percent of all changes in this sim are for the regular AI leagues, yet affect casual just as much. Geez, I'm sounding like a guy called Venge!
