I hate to hurt my own my own teams chances, but for some reason in this game, both teams were able to buy natchos. The game is http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=694&team2=5985

Gold Coast War Hawks is the home team, but if you look at Chesapeake;http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=694, they have the Natchos promotion listed. I don't know if that will carry over into the game, or if it is just a web page issue, but they are NOT the home team, and should not have the Natchos promotion. Either it is a visual bug, or a game play bug. I don't know, but I doubt it will be resolved before the game is played.

I think that it simply shows that there is a promotion for that game. I think it has always been that way. You played that same team last during the regular season. Look at both teams and you'll see the same promotion indicator.

Yep that looks like it is the case. So this is just a visual bug. The non home team shows a promotion that they do not have. They are in effect showing the other team's promotion, but it looks like their own.

This may be a WAI but I am going to call it a bug, because visually, it shows the other team's promotion, and not your teams on your own page. You look at your page, and see a promotion, it should be your own promotion. If you want to see the other team's promotion, look at their page.

I gotta say, I like the way it is...it's clearly marked on your team's page that the game is "at" the other team, right? How is there any confusion?

If it didn't show on both pages, then you'd have to go to each of your road opponents' pages throughout the season if you wanted to see who was lining up promos against you.

That actually was what it was for a long time. You would look at your opponents page, and see that they had natchos. This was a recent change. I listed it as a bug because I had never seen it before. It looks like it was a recent change. I'll make the suggestion here, just because it needs to be said. If you are showing a promotion, it should be clear who gets the promotion. I shouldn't have to figure out which team gets it.

Of course the counter argument is that you should know which team is the home team! My retort to that is that if I need to make more than one leap of observation, then that is one leap too much.

I looked at my team and it said "Nachos" for my next game. My initial thought was that my team had nachos for the next game! I had to dig deeper to figure out that I had no natchos.

Bug, Suggestion, I don't care what you call it, if it creates confusion, in just one person, it needs to be addressed. if it creates confusion, in someone like me.... Well that speaks for itself. Bug or Suggestion please address it.

ALL promotions -- home and away -- have been marked by an icon on the schedule for as long as they've been around. There are some GreaseMonkey scripts that interfere with their display, but you can't miss them if you turn GreaseMonkey off. Try looking at your team's finance page If you're really confused about who's ponying up for the promotion. (FWIW, I don't like the "one person is confused" standard; just one player with dementia would cause the world to run out of address labels If You Know What I Mean And I Think You Do.)

This is not a bug. It has been this was as long as I can remember. We all know that only home teams benefit from the promotions.

Crypto - if you feel this should be changed, then I will direct you to the suggestions forum.

I for one like to know from looking at my teams schedule when my opponent has put up a promotion. It lets me know that they are worried about the game upcoming.
