Forum > Position Talk > LB Club > Returning player, looking for building advice

I left this game about 3 years ago and decided to check it out again. The thing I remember most about this game is this: if you screw up the initial season of a player's training, you'll just want to retire him and start over. I don't want to do that, but since I'm a few years removed from this game, I'm assuming that's gonna happen, unless I get some help.

I looked for some basic build discussions, but couldn't find anything on the forum, aside from the most rudimentary of discussions.

I created a LB that I'd like to make fast, agile, and visionary. I put as many pts as I could into Speed to start, and I'm thinking I want to keep training Speed...

1. What level do you suggest I train Speed to until I switch to a new Attribute (it's 40 right now).?
2. Do I want to train Intense, Normal, or Light?
3. Is it better to train 1 attribute at a time, or to use the Custom tokens to open up Multi-Attribute training?
4. Is the Enhanced Training of 10% worth the cost?

***An advance thank you to anyone who responds. Derogatory insults will also be openly received, but I'd prefer some direction.

I'm in the same boat as you - came back after a few years. I wish I had more real advice to give, but I'm just going to say try different things, see what works, and maybe retire this guy a few seasons down the road.

That's pretty much what I'm doing. Just hoping that maybe it works out, and I don't need to retire him early.

1) In general you want to get your primary attribute up to at least 83, before you stop putting skill points into it.
2 & 3) Intense or Normal train until you get the bonus tokens to open the multi-training. Multi is the way to go now.
4) You want to enhance the attributes that you are multi-training to 30% for best value.

Play with the player builder greasemonkey script to decide when to switch to light training, so you have the bonus tokens to upgrade your AEQ by the time you hit plateau at level 79.

But I want to hang on to my SP for a while at first, right? It's my understanding that it's better to sit on your SP while you're training your attributes at low levels, because you get more value for your training. Would you agree? That's how it used to be when I used to play, though that was before multi-training, so i don't know how much that has changed. I'd think the question is, at what point do you put SP into your main attribute, if you want to wait a bit? Is it when you have enough to get your main attribute to the first cap (48, right?).

Hold them until you can cap your primary.

Right... Hold the points until you have enough to reach the next cap when training an attribute. However if you are not training the attribute, then there is no need to hold the points.

For instance if you are multi-training speed/agility/tackling/strength and speed is at 68. Hold the points from levelling up or boosting until you have saved enough to get to the next cap at 73.
