This is the build method I have used for the past couple seasons and it works very well. If you follow it correctly, your builds will be on par with most Gold teams.

This guide is not position or skill specific, but rather is a method you use once you know which position you want to build and which skills are most important for that position. I will not provide this info.

**************************************

Initial decisions:
1) You have to decide if you have 2 or 3 primary skills. Primary skills are the ones you will take to 1st cap or higher. It comes down to if you want your #1 skill to be 2nd or higher cap, or if 1st cap is good enough. If 2nd cap or higher, pick the 2 skill method. If 1st cap is OK, then pick the 3 skill method.

2) You have to decide how many secondary skills to train. These secondary skills will be in the 20-30 range by the playoffs. The secret to a good build is to be well rounded, so the more secondary skills you train, the better. Most of the time, I train either 3 or 4 secondary skills. While you can train only 2 secondary skills, I find those builds just don't match up as well as ones with 3-4 secondary skills.

*******************************************************

Two Primary Skill Method:
Max skill #1 at creation, rest into skill #2. Since you are not training skill #1, go ahead and put the initial 15 SP's into your primary skill. During the off-season, intense train skill #2 until it hits 25, then switch to training your secondary skills for the rest of the season(either triple or quad trained pending on how many secondary skills you want to train). Enhance all training by one star, then cash in BT's for SP's and use them to buy SA's.

Once you start to earn SP's from leveling, take skill #1 to the 2nd cap, then switch the SP's to skill #2 to the 1st cap. This is right about where your non-boosting player will be at the start of the playoffs. If you do 3x boost, then you will reach this point sooner and it's your call if you want to start working skill #1 towards the 3rd cap or skill #2 towards the 2nd cap with the extra points.

Non-boosting player goals(pre-equipment) at the start of the playoffs:
Skill #1 = 64ish (add all equipment to this skill)
Skill #2 = 50ish
Secondary Skills = 20-25 if you quad-train, 25-30 if you triple train.
*If you 3x boost, that will increase your secondary skills by 1-2 points each and will either get skill #1 close to the 3rd cap or skill #2 close to the 2nd cap.

**************************************************************

Three Primary Skill Method:
Max skill #1 at creation, rest into skill #3. Since you are not training skill #1, go ahead and put the initial 15 SP's into that skill. During the off-season, intense train skill #3 until it hits 25, then switch to training your secondary skills for the rest of the season(either triple or quad trained pending on how many secondary skills you want to train). Enhance all training by one star, then cash in BT's for SP's and use them to buy SA's.

Once you start to earn SP's from leveling, take skill #1 to the 1st cap, then switch the SP's to skill #3 until it becomes equal to skill #2. Once both skill #2 & #3 are equal, put SP's into them equally until the 1st cap. This is right about where your non-boosting player will be at the start of the playoffs. If you do 3x boost, then you will reach this point sooner and you can work skill #1 towards the 2nd cap.

Non-boosting player goals(pre-equipment) at the start of the playoffs:
Skill #1 = 55ish (add all equipment to this skill)
Skill #2 = 50ish
Skill #3 = 50ish
Secondary Skills = 20-25 if you quad-train, 25-30 if you triple train.
*If you 3x boost, that will increase your secondary skills by 1-2 points each and you will be able to take skill #1 very close to the 2nd cap.

***********************************************************

Well that's it. You can play around with which method you want to use and how many secondary skills to train and which ones to pick for different positions. Some combos will work better than others, but that's for you to experiment with.

Couple hints:
Stamina = this will be a secondary skill on nearly every player.
Vision = if not a primary skill, will be a secondary skill on most offensive players.
Tackling = this will be a secondary skill on every defensive player.
Confidence = you would be surprised how much this skill helps, so consider it as one of your secondary skills on a lot of positions.

Let me give you an example...

Coverage LB:

Primary Skills:
I use the 3-skill method with the following skills:
#1 = Speed
#2 = Agility
#3 = Vision

Secondary Skills:
I will triple train the follow skills:
Strength
Stamina
Tackling
*you could add a 4th skill, like Jumping, but I like these 3 skills to be higher, so my choice is to only use 3 here.

At the start of the playoffs(day 33-34), when a non-boosted player is at level 12, my Coverage LB will have the following skills:
55 Speed (before equipment)
50 Agility
48 Vision
25 Strength
25 Stamina
25 Tackling

This is good stuff Gerr. I usually copy your postings to my forums but I discovered this through trial an error about four seasons ago so I am building very similar to this guide. My league is loaded with bad builds so hopefully some of the agents will use this.
