I really doubt it. If two alpha teams gut then I'm guessing both 9s will stick.

I think a plain reading of the tiebreaker says it goes by highest seed of non playoff teams with the conference of the hitting team having the priority. My reading of it is both 9 seeds are the top 2 in priority if 2 teams from the same conference gut.

that's official from support last I checked

lol at a 7-9 and a 6-10 team getting the nod over a 9-7 team that lost on a tie breaker. Especially considering the 7-9 is like the 9-7 ugly step sister.
