Okay, that's just false. I'm going to respond to that.

I ran the offense for Laos for every game this season up to and including Game 13 against Newport, with one exception: Game 10 against South Otto, where Tomcic basically demoted me for one game and ran the offense himself. (A decision I agreed with at the time and still agree with, by the way.) After our loss to Newport, we were 4-9, out of the playoff hunt, and destined to finish near the bottom. Our season was over at that point.

So, no, I did not "just quit midseason." Our season was already over.

The rest is just PM drama and forum drama, but it confirmed that multiple agents on Laos were getting impatient with me and my offense. (And for good reason... see Laos's offensive totals this season.) Yet for some odd reason, Tomcic and Valen didn't want to fire me as the OC. So I made the decision for them and fired myself. And now they have a few extra days to find a new OC and let him get acquainted with Laos's roster.

Tell me my offense sucked. It did. I won't disagree with you.

But don't say I quit mid-season. I didn't. Our season was already over.

What good would it have done to stick around?

By leaving, I forced Tomcic and Valen to find an OC who actually knows what the fuck he's doing at this level.

I stuck around until our fate was sealed. No point in sticking around beyond that. Doesn't do anybody any good, and it could actually do some harm if agents think I'm still going to be OC'ing next season and decide not to renew their contracts because of it.

fwiw...you could tell that you put in a lot of effort over the season.

WL isn't easy, and it looks like your defense let you down in a few of those games.
