What do you guys think about confidence? It is one of the 6 majors that get a bump every time you level so Bort must think it is important for LBs but I guess I don't really see it. I understand why QB's and CB's need alot of confidence and I suppose everyone should have some, but why is it a mahjor for LBs? It is kind of difficult to know exactly when it is helping you on the field too since it is not like speed or strenght where you can actually see the impact on a play.

Anyone put a fair amount of points/training into it? Anyone at a high level never touched it at all?

Pancakes. If its a quad stack of 'em, you'll need all the Confidence you can get to take them down.

I focused on it earlier in my career but I haven't touched it recently. I have seen a decline in my play, but I can't really say it was from one thing. I mean honestly, something that's mental is hard to judge in this game.

I haven't gotten any direct proof about this, but it makes sense that Special Abilities like Snarl, Aura of Int, Trash Talk, and Glare are modified by confidence. So if you have higher confidence, the base abilities that make your player better are enhanced.
Confidence is consistency in this game.

Bort stated in the forums that some SA's are affected by your opponent's confidence and morale. I'm guessing Snarl and trash talk are those SA's.

Don't dump points into confidence. These are triggered by your opponent.

I could see glare and aura being affected by your OWN confidence though
