I am comming back to the game after quite a few season away. I want to make a G and a T that focus on STR mainly to run block. I am in doubt of one thing : WHICH SA SHOULD I TAKE ???

I was thinking of Pummel, but I read some debated questioning morale loss effectiveness. Does it really work / is it worth it ??

Then I thought about going with Balance since a lot of ppl said their RevPK lowered by a lot. is it worth it ??

If not those, which ones should I take and why ??

Thanks a lot for the help

I have a standard set of SA choices for most my O linemen. I will do a quick breakdown for you.

Run Blocker
2 HB%,
10 get low,
10 cut block,
10 First step (extra SA),
10 your choice in the pass blocking tree

Pass Blocker
2 HB%,
10 pass block,
10 foundation (protect for LTs only),
10 First step (extra SA)
10 Cutblock (or your choice in the run blocking tree)

Basically I buy two AEQ items for HB%. Then two AEQ items for SAs in my primary SA tree. Finally, I use the CEQ upgrades for my secondary SA tree item. I never use equipment on my extra SA since it is first in the tree I just spend the SP to take it to 10.

I've heard that FS causes some OT's to move too quickly off the line and let the DL run right by before they can recover. Is that correct?

More or less. FS mess up OTs when they're forming the pocket. So avoid it imo

I not only agree, but can vouch for this statement. 10 in First Step screwed up my LT.

I'd go first step for the guard.

First Step is controversial for a tackle, some of the best performing tackles in WL have had it and been successful, but other people blame it for their player sucking.

I'd say Strong Arm is the safest bet for a tackle.

I've seen that FA issue on another team. Guy went from 0 to 10 in one offseason and boom started happening.

I'm trying to choose between Balance and Quick Cut myself, leaning towards QC, but on a team that mostly passes, maybe Balance is worth it.
