I thought I had the makings of a stud back in season 12, but nothing could be farther from the truth. This DT is proof that effective level is lol. Just wanted to hear from folks as to why this guy sucks sooooo damn bad. I renamed him today to reflect my personal opinion of him....

Bort hates interior linemen generating production

The problem with that is I don't know where the problem is. It looks like a solid, well-built all-around dot.

The only problem i see is aeq not as high as it should be. The remaining 4-7 points in strength or agility should make a small difference.

I prefer Power Tackler as VA. Build looks good though.

yeah, that was the after effect of tinkering with his build to try and get him to do something besides take up space. unfortunately it meant not being able to upgrade all changed pieces to their max. there was no notable difference in the performance with the previous points which were all in strength compared to what he is doing now. my only consolation is that his flex will sire new dots after he retires at the end of the season, none of which will be DT's like their predecessor.

Its surprising, mine is not that different, but has moderate success. Yours truely does have some BAD stats this year.

It's the weight. I have a 300 lbs DT with higher EL then both and he does nothing.

Its the position. Last season and before he was beast, now just a roster spot. A tad low on STR but overall should do more youd think. Gonna retire since its soo boring now for DT.

I just think expectations are too high. Definitely no glory position, but well built, does a good job, that said, im still not making any new ones anytime soon, unless i wanna try an experimental swat ball/towering man combo line and see how it does.

DT needs to be moved to the non-glamour category if it is destined to only be a space eater.

My guess is that it's not quite enough jump, but I have no idea. Being able to get off the line just a touch faster and diving for the runner's foot might give him that extra push.
