...it's time to go to light training in order to get more bonus tokens and more AEQ? I'm fairly ignorant. I've been looking at my players and realized that, in order to get 4 pieces of AEQ (if I'm building the pieces rather than rolling them), I'm going to need to go to light training around day 200 if not before. Is there a guide that can help me through this issue? Is it even normal to get 4 pieces of AEQ? Should I be rolling them instead of building them?

Build 1st one, maybe 2nd, then roll for others. But it's truly luck of the draw.

Why? Logic says if you have a well-thought out dot, you know what pieces are you looking for, then when rolling first, you'll have a much better chance to get an appropriate AEQ, because you aren't restricted in your choice.
Eg. you have a pass rushing DE, and you decide you'll need a first step, a tunnell vision and two break block % pieces. If you roll first, you can pick up any one of them that came up (including the +attribute pieces) and enhance them. But if you build first, then you can only buy what isn't yours already.
Another argument is that rolling is always preferable to building, because it's much cheaper.

It's your own option. I always buy (at a low level.) then roll (at a higher level.).

Varying opinions on this. I'm the type that rolls one piece at a time and takes +3 attributes relevant to my build or SA's alone on my 1st pieces unless I hit the lottery and get both combined on my 1st piece. Saves me some BT's enhancing instead of building it entirely from scratch. By the time I get onto rolling my 3rd piece in my late 50's or early 60's it's easier to get full pieces.

Still not seeing any logic whatsoever in building first then rolling later? I see a good chance of having to convert a piece that u just rolled for and defeating the whole purpose of shoping in the first place.

If you're going to roll then roll first. It makes no sense to buy then roll.

Roll early and like dude said, anything is up for grabs. Bank points in something close then sale it later for the BT if you arent getting lucky on rolls.

With all my recent chars I've been waiting til play to roll. You get more per a roll and with how much the sim changes you'll probably be better off waiting til the pros when games matter to get viable pieces.
