In this play, the QB throws a wonky screen pass to the back and it kind of goes behind the HB and he does not immediately catch and run. This has been happening quite a bit with the new sim, and it's more excessive than it needs to be. My success rate with screens getting caught well is not much different than downfield passes to HB's. Screens for upper tier teams should be caught successfully and with immediate forward momentum by the HB 90% of the time. This whole screen to the HB and watch him remain in a dead standstill for 5-10 ticks is ridiculous.

Now for the next part, after the HB does not move for a long time the LB comes up and knocks the ball away from him. I don't really know what's the proper way to count ticks but it looks like about 23 ticks for me. 23 ticks that the HB had the ball, did not move, and yet the defender was still able to knock the ball away from him.

I don't know what's going on with this play, but it just looks broke to me.

I know that, and you know that, but have you ever seen a big fixed on 1 replay?

Yep. I got stuff to do. I can't fix their game for them. If they actually watched some sims they would know that screens are a little wonky right now and that Knocked Loose passes can sometimes happen way too long after the catch has been made.

1) Yes this happens from time to time, I would estimate perhaps 10-15% of screens for backs with good catching skills.

2) I think having more jumping helps the HB not fall down when making these catches

3) Technically the linked play should be a fumble (clearly a backwards pass).

4) Be glad you got the KL result, otherwise it would have been quite a TFL.

Not sure if any of these are "bugs," but it does look a little wonky overall.

Just to be clear, the HB falls down as he catches the ball which is why he isn't moving. Presumably he jumped and fell, or made a diving catch, or perhaps was just off balance from a difficult catch and fell over.

Not sure exactly how the coding works, but the reason for the stall in the play is that the HB is on the ground.

Dot has 48 Jumping. How high do you have to jump to catch a 3 yard pass?

Still doesn't explain why the LB can make a KL 10 seconds later.
