Hurries sure do matter, great observation

Well I don't care what anyone says, the Passing Game took a step back this Season. I'm just going to turn into Coach Ditka, RUN, RUN, RUN...And if that doesn't work...RUN some more, lol.

I have seen at least 3 teams that had respectable to very good passing have nothing..
all of a sudden bad throws are all over the place and recievers have frozen hands

once again, it feels like a waste of flex points to build recievers or passing qbs....
more bad throws than good etc.. etc...
once again if feels like a waste of flex for qbs and recievers.

just chiming in... back to just run run run
its ok for hurries to matter, but when qbs with throwing greater than 140 and 15 in the appropriate veteran points, and they throw like rookies,,,
maybe my sample set is distorted, but it is frustrating...

Seems like the only way to get a good completion percentage is to scout real hard and find what your opponent isn't covering.

starting to question why i still do this, I've spent more than I should have on flex points, just to have my builds nerfed in the middle of their lives......

I have had an all passing team since season 17. I have noticed changes this season but I notice them every season. The trick is to expect them and then adjust appropriately.

First make sure your teams QB tactics are optimal. These have not changed in a longtime so once you figure out the best setting for your builds you should be good.

The next part is the hardest. It seems like each season sim changes lead to plays that may have been your bread and butter plays the previous season to become less valuable or even useless. I personally use the scouting tool to scout my own team throughout the season to cull the bad plays and test new plays. Looking at other top passing teams in your league or other leagues to find hot passing plays helps also. Just keep in mind that some teams may have unique builds so plays that work well for them may not work well for your team and visa versa.

Also, if you are scouting your own team like me, make sure to separate scrims vs regular season games. I personally feel that the sims are very different and should not be mixed when game planning for anything other than GM tendencies. Also if possible avoid scouting blowouts.

Oh, and a simple pro tip is to reduce or limit your offense to only the plays that work. Don't be so concerned with masking your tendencies or trying to throw the other GMs off. Some plays just work even if the other guy knows its coming.

So far this season I hate screens in general. Last season they were my bread and butter. That was really hard for me to get my head around this season but that is how it goes on this site. Adapt or die.

Then you get stuff like this http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2011230&pbp_id=5237753 a couple times a game. Nothing you can do to plan for it and no reason it should happen.

Wow....he wasn't even hurried. Definitely the sim in regards to passing needs some tinkering in the next offseason.

I know my qbs aren't the greatest, but I still think passing has gotten worse this season. Thank goodness most of my competition sucks this season or we'd be in deep doo doo. Please fix the passing game. Hurries bad bad throws are ok , but not so many!
