You can't base the programming on hindsight; only mathematical foresight. We have to have some allowance for defensive players to make great plays as well. A guy isn't double covered just because there ends up being 2 defenders there when the ball arrives. He's gotta be double covered when the QB throws the ball for the QB to be able to tell"

This makes me wonder if Bort has ever played real football.

It makes me wonder whether you know how to read.

Let me know when you add something contructive other than just random trolling.

Taking one paragraph out of context and using it to insult Bort isn't constructive. Take your own advice.

So after reading all of that it looks like HBs are being nerfed and PQ is being nerfed again along with WR reactions.

lol - what is the point of making 300 flex positions now?

I do like the VA changes to O-LIne. They were very much needed.

Have no idea why you think that. If anything HB's are better because of improved OL and PQ wasn't touched except on long passes (which it should be).

Oh I get it, you just like to complain for the sake of complaining. Carry on my wayward son.

Probably isn't but we were seeing way too many pick 6's. Last season in the WL there were 530 interceptions. 153 were returned for TD's. Way too high.

Just as I have two CB's enter WL. I'm always a day late to the party.

I think the bigger problem currently leading to pick-6's on INT's are the insta-blocks made by the offensive players. One click after the INT is made defenders with their backs turned are pancaking the WR's, and DL are instantly blocking the OL and killing the QB.

It would make more sense to make the defense's vision checks (to realize they now need to block) much more difficult and to also give a slight boost to the offense's tackling ability. The other problem is that most WR's bounce right off the guy intercepting the ball.

Another option is to make the defender's 'carrying' ability more important on turnovers. Sure the guy can just use speed and streak down for a pick-6 when he jumps a short out route...but when catching it in traffic make him less effective. This would be better than just having him fall over for no apparent reason.

I know this isn't a QA thread, but no mention of Pro league consolidation so I'm assuming NGTH?

No I am not complaining to complain. I for one am happy you guys are putting time into trying to make the sim better.

In your OP it says "PQ lowered" there is nothing there about on longer passes only. If you are reducing Spins and Fakes some as stated in the OP then its going to affect the HBs a lot. If WRs are reactions are lowered then that too is another nerf.

As an OC its a little frustrating seeing stuff like that but at the same time its nice seeing you address the underpowered O-Line.

lern 2 read?

-- for long passes the following:
throw variance increased
WR's chance to react lower
lower pass quality
