I m sure this is very difficult for all or most to read...It s very hard to type, but I m one that deals in reality...Rest assured, I ll do everything to keep her smiling and in good spirits and free of pain...I ll be by her side and pls cherish the good times you ve had with her...she doesn t want you to be sad...she cherishes her memories with you..some of you hold an extra special place in her heart and all are dear friends that have been so very loyal to her...she adores you and smiles anytime I mention your names or read your pms...

I m praying for a recovery...I m praying she use our strength and our love to make it....Thanks for loving my Mom and making this game so much fun for her...Chad

I am simply speechless

My heart goes out to Melissa, you Chad, and the rest of your family. There is no doubt about how tough these times can be, and eventually, we all face an end, but finding peace and dignity, choosing the way we depart, leaves fewer regrets. Internet knowledge of a person can be lacking, although in many ways, reading a persons written word is more telling about true nature. Melissa has always had a kind word, a great sense of humor, never taking this place too seriously, and those of us who have been challenged by her have always appreciated her skill and banter. How many of us, going back several seasons, wondered how a girl could consistently kick our collective butts in football, supposedly an old boy mans sport ? Melissa did it, enjoyed it, and we had fun and respected her for it. She's been a delight, and this league and forum owe her, as she has been the catalyst which brought and kept us all together, and made this the best damn league in GLB i've ever been a part of. With fortune, that steel belted marshmallow still has a few miles left, and I for one, will look forward to another go-round. Alaskan Raven, peace be with you ... you will always have a place in our heart.

Truly enjoyed playing Melissa. She was wonderful to play against and even better in the forums. Gracious and warm. It made it harder to lose to her, because you just couldn't get mad at her. I listened to the last podcast that was posted, and from being in the Emergency Medical field when I was younger, I could tell in her voice and demeanor she struggling and fighting hard, but still felt compelled to come on and thank everyone when we should be thanking her.

Let her know I will be there in Spirit, as once again I am at sea doing what I have to do. Now it's back to training for deployment again off the coast. My heart goes out to Melissa and everyone who's lives she touched.

Since the first time I heard the news about Melissa a few weeks ago, she hasn't left my thoughts and prayers. I pray for a recovery, but more that she finds peace spiritually. Although most of you may not be, I am a religious guy. Not so much a Bible Thumper, but I have faith in God. I listened to the podcast of her last show, and although I only checked in to find out about her medical condition, I couldn't turn it off until she signed off from the show....about 30 minutes total. Her voice almost demanded my attention. She is a captivating lady, who has earned the respect of everyone here, and especially from NHG. I will remain to keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

I ve read your posts and thoughts and she expresses her love and respect and admiration for you all....she s sorry MNTF isn t competing for Gold, but wishes the best for DN and RD and can t wait to watch the final...Chad

Two attributes that Melissa has that are not available for a GLB build: Grace, and Elegence.

I have to tell you Chad, her love for the GLB community is admirable. I have a few tears coming to my eyes when i read that she respects us all, especially when she doesn't know us in real life. Melissa is a real classy lady. It makes me feel good that you tell her we are all thinking about her. I am not a faithful person at all. But, I am going to pray for the first time ever. God Bless you both!

I don't know her much but I do know she has a good since of humor. I hope she has a speedy recovery. Tell her to keep her spirit up as much as possible. She seems like an amazing person from all of these people so I know she is really a good person. Also keep your family togeather as much as possible, the more faces to see and talk the better. I don't know what she is suffering from but I hope she gets better soon. So she can get back to kicking our asses on here.
