It might be easier to just do a position by position vote since putting together an entire ballot is sort of intimidating.

I'm game for whatever. I wanted ideas of how people wanted to do this, since interest was there. I'm still open to ideas.

I'll probably put mine in this weekend, at least for the western conference.

I'd say people's opinion top 3 or 4 each position and have a vote. If you really feel like your homer player is the best thats fine but don't pick em just because they are homer, lets try to keep it honest.

I agree with both of them. Old Dirty is definitely my top LB in his conference when considering all the factors I did. Landshark was one of the 4 I picked as well, but probably not #1.

My ballots are finally done for both conferences. You can find it in the dedicated thread, but I've quoted it here for all to view. Let the discussion begin (and for the record - there are a number of very difficult positions to choose...!).

I largely decided that the players skill point value had to be competitive with the rest of the players or they would be disregarded. On the offensive side of the ball, I paid particular attention to how the top offensive players fared against the top defenses. On defense, I largely disregarded teams that had a losing record and omitted players that were able to rack up stats because of the overall ineffectiveness of the other areas of the field. For special teams, I used averages, especially for the punters, ie. # of punts inside the 20 or coffin corner punts per punt attempt. And ultimately - it's just my opinion, and while some players were omitted, I would more than gladly stock them on any team I may own. There is a lot of quality out there!!!!
