Was thinking it would be fun to put together a roster of the top players at each position from throughout the league...what do you guys think?

(not ACTUALLY put together a team...just recognize the top players at each position)

Seems like there's enough interest - how do we want to go about doing it?

How'd you do them?

I was thinking that we should each put forth a roster of 55 guys we think is tops in the league. Majority wins. Personally, I'd rank it based on stats, effective level/skill point value, ranking, etc.

I started building a roster today, and I found I simply don't have enough knowledge of the opposing conference to include them on my ballot. Of course I have Shawn Passerman as QB1, but it gets a little tough after that choice. Maybe let everyone vote for their conference, and they can't vote for their own players, or limit it to 5 from their respective teams. I found that I had 7 off NHG, but maybe 2-3 were Homer votes.

you cant just always look at stats, alot of times better then average players on bad team put up huge numbers (mostly on defense) or due to being the only option on there teams offense

it would make most sense to

only pick guys from your own conference
set up some type of rule where a voter could not pick more then say 4 players from one team

I would say no go on only picking 4 players from one team. We have a core of 6-7 teams that I'd probably pick all the players from. The teams at the bottom end of the league often have defensive players with top #'s in tackles and such just due to sheer opportunity. I would look at stats against solid competition, effective levels, etc. Would have to be the totalality of a bunch of factors.
