It's been a while since I last played this game, but in the past I thought speed / agility worked well. Here is my player's build and I just need to know what to focus on next.

Level 18 -
Strength: 24.61
Blocking: 8
Speed: 99.5 (+18)
Tackling: 22.5
Agility: 36.5
Jumping: 6
Stamina: 18.61
Vision: 24.5
Confidence: 15.61

Thanks for taking a look.

current #1 D player for two seasons running is a speed end - but you need to be in the right scheme for it to work. You'd need to hook up with a versatile DC or otherwise go a little higher on AGI to get it done.

You could choose to either take spd to 83 or just start with agi and do the same. If you go low str, be sure to get sta to 60+ and tkl to 68+ either way.

Thanks for the info. I have speed at 81.5 right now. So should I take agility to the same and multi-train the rest?

yeah that's a pretty good baseline to start with, you can take spd to the 83 cap as well if you really want to push it at the slight expense of some secondary attributes later on.

Wow! Over 160 sacks in one season. Good for your player, but bad for realism.

@Menamino - I am retiring my player to join a rookie team next season. Would you recommend starting on agility first this time around?

Debating trying this myself and not sure whether to go agility first or speed

You can go either way really. EQ can be played around with in a whole bunch of ways to make drastically different players. Pretty easy for a DL to get whatever they go with first to 101+ and the second to 94-95+. So in the end it's not a huge difference.

Probably be more effective at lower levels if you go agi first, if that matters much to you

Not really.....not to bothered about effectiveness at lower levels

How low can you get away with strength 85-90? Or maybe a lot less

End game with current gen dots, I would try to not go under 90 at all. Maybe a little less in extreme circumstances but it's a risk.

So is that (83 cap) the highest you would keep putting SP into your primary attribute before moving on to the next one?

For a DE 83/83/83 agi/spd/str is the lowest you want to go.

If you were going to do a pass rusher, i would go 86 speed, 86 agility, 88 strength. If you have agility, strength, stamina as your unlocks , should be able to end with 102 speed, 96 agility, and 91 strength. Depending on how you want to lace EQ, could be something like 128 speed, 125 agility , which means technique man firing on pretty much every play unless OT has 113 agility (very rare).

I usually aim for 81 or 83 on my dudes, some extreme cases will do 86. Good secondaries are important on DL as well and can't be ignored.
