Whats wrong with my kicker? He easily has the boot to kick long FG's of atleast 59 yards. But he just sucks with accuracy despite his vision and confidence being in the 70's

I posted in the P/K forum but I am interested in why you think your kicker easily can kick a 59 yarder.

He has the power as I have seen. He has never come up short on any of his kicks. Its always the accuracy

I'm not convinced that the wide left/wide right always indicates an accuracy issue, but even if it does, kicking is your most important attribute that affects accuracy. Vision and confidence are just secondary. And since none of those three attributes are particularly high on your kicker I wouldn't expect much from him. Honestly I'm surprised he does as well as he does from 40-49.

EDIT: One other thing - did you notice his kickoffs are averaging 53 yards? Probably the only times he's hitting 60+ are when booming kick fires. Would you really expect a kicker who hits 53 yards as KO average to easily make a 59 yard field goal?

Is 53 yard KO's good or bad?
