I think the teams you have included in the top 8 are accurate, but I will disagree with the order. Here is My take on it.

My reasoning:

So far I think that Eastern Conference looks stronger than the Western Conference to me. So they get a bit more weight IMHO.

1. Gold Coast Crocs: The Crocs haven't lost to anyone this season. AND they beat Sainte-Foy, who is one of the top 4(again IMHO) teams in the Eastern Conference. In my mind, until they prove otherwise, they are the front runners.

2. Chesapeake Sea Serpents: The Serpents are the other 7-0 team in the Eastern Conference, and they have had the toughest Strength of Schedule so far in the Eastern Conference without a loss. Their next big test is against Sainte-Foy whom they have lost twice to in scrimmages this season.

3. The GlobeDotters: Chicago Outfit: Undefeated in the Western Conference they have yet to loose a game, but also they have yet to play a game against a playoff bound team. Still they have a 23 game regular season win streak, and a great head to head win ratio from last season. I am going to give them credit for it.

4. Sainte-Foy Nordiques 3.0: Last season CDZYO was asleep at the wheel, and got demoted. Maybe he needed a break. Their only loss so far was to the Gold Coast Crocs, and it could be the only loss they have all season. They do have a tough last half of the season though, and they will have to get Axis: Pinoy next week and, Chesapeake in week 10. They do however have a history of beating both teams. Which is why I currently have them at #4.

5. Thunder Bay Trojans: My only real beef with this 7-0 team is that they haven't yet played a top level Elite #2 team. They beat the Bushwackers, who are probably going to be a solid playoff team in the Eastern Conference, but they didn't blow them out. 19-0 is a good win, but it isn't a GREAT win. They will get home field advantage in the playoffs, but I am fairly confident that they are not the best team in the Western Conference.

6. Chicago Beasts: Another 7-0 team from the Western Conference, with a pretty good pedigree. They haven't played anyone really tough yet, but that also means they haven't had to really game plan either. They are a solid team, and are capable of upset wins. However they still have to prove themselves against the top tier Western Conference teams.

7. London Monarchs: This is a Dark Horse team in my opinion. They have yet to boost, and they managed a win against the ever dangerous Axis: Pinoy team. They did however loose to Chesapeake, so IMHO they still have some things to prove. I think they can pull off a home field advantage, but they have at least 4 playoff bound teams to beat before they get there.

8. Axis: Pinoy All Stars 3: Axis: Pinoy has only lost 1 game regular season game so far, and that was against the London Monarchs. In their Scrimmage Losses they have acquitted themselves quite well, even when they lost against Elite #1 teams. Last season was a bust for Pinoy, and I think I know why. I think, with the Holiday Weekend, they did not get their promotions in... AmIrite? At any rate, Pinoy is a playoff team in the Elite #1, and they are a playoff team here as well. They have 3 tough games left, in Sainte-Foy, Gulf Coast, and Chesapeake. Those are all winnable games for Pinoy.

That's my take on the top 8 in the League.

One might wonder why I have weighted it so far in the Eastern Conferences favor, I will simply reply that I think the EC teams are better than the WC teams on the whole. Am I predicting an Eastern Conference win in the League Championship? No not really. All it takes is One Top Level WC team to win a championship. My pick for the team most likely to win the WC? Chicago. And I think Chicago is a match for any EC team.

Not even half the season is done, but I think that all of my top 8 will get a home field advantage.

I don't really like using promotions because they don't really mean much unless I use the premium ones.
And I only use the premium promos if I see my team needing it to gain home field all throughout the playoffs.

If my team is still sporting a one loss record by week #14 when we play the Sea Serpents, I would guarantee you that I'm going to use one of those premium promos but if we're not then not going to use any promos at all this season.

Last season was rough and I won't like to go through that time of season ever again!

Looks like my rankings have mostly held up so far. The only change I had to make was to switch Thunder Bay and Sainte-Foy.

If I can only get this offense of mine going, we can go up higher in the ranks.
