Here's a look at the upcoming games today. Tune in later to see the results of these matchups.

Alpha Conference Games

Judah Lions (3-4) at Amsterdam Fire (5-2)
The Lions journey to Amsterdam with a two-game winning streak, while the Fire have dropped their last two games after starting the season red hot.

Paris Penguins (1-6) at Barcelona Bulls (4-3)
Paris has had a tough time finding the win column this season. It doesn't get easier this week as they travel to face a solid Barcelona team.

Ljublana Chamois Scabs (5-2) at Liverpool Scousers (5-2)
Two 5-win teams face off in Liverpool. The Scousers return home and look to bounce back from a dismal performance last week.

Rotterdam Harbourmasters (6-1) at Zurich Gnomes (1-6)
The Gnomes got their first win of the season last week. They like it and look to add another this week. The visiting Harbourmasters look like more than they can handle though.

Tilburg Fighters (1-6) at Cherry Valley Wizards (1-6)
Tilburg travels to play the Wizards. Both teams have struggled to get on track. Cherry Valley has dropped five straight, the longest current losing streak in Alpha.

Berlin Blitzkrieg (2-5) at West Yorkshire Bling (4-3)
West Yorkshire has played excellent football this season and looks to build on their modest win streak with another one today against the visiting Blitzkrieg.

Massillon Grizzlies (5-2) at Madrid Hares (1-6)
On paper, the Hares look to be outmatched against the visiting Grizzlies. If they can't establish a solid running game, this one could get ugly.

Alpha Game of the Week
Whitechapel Rippers (7-0) at Scotland Celtics (5-2)
The undefeated Rippers make their way to Scotland this week to take on the Celtics. The Celtics will try to pull off the upset by leaning on their running backs and a stingy red zone defense.

Zeta Conference Games

Liege Red Roosters (0-7) at Rockaway Knights (6-1)
The Roosters just don't appear to have the firepower to match up with the Knights, who have done little wrong in the early part of the season.

Downey Vikings (1-6) at Rome Bulls (6-1)
Two teams with mirror records of one another. The Vikings will have a hard time staying in this one with the 1-loss Bulls.

Camelot Kings (6-1) at Coppenhagen Razorbacks (0-7)
The winless Razorbacks are likely to stay winless as they host a very good Camelot team.

Hamburg Parrots (2-5) at Ironton Tanks (5-2)
Ironton's two losses came against teams with a combined record of 13-1 on the season. The best 2-loss team in A#2 shouldn't have much trouble with the visiting Parrots. Hamburg will have to find ways to get on the scoreboard early to have a shot at this one.

Gibraltar Wild Monkeys (3-4) at Chelsea Cardinals (4-3)
Gibraltar comes in as an underdog despite the similar records. The Cardinals need to limit their mistakes to avoid the upset.

Brighton Bears (6-1) at Helsinki Hammers (3-4)
An interesting matchup in Helsinki could go either way. The Bears are the clear favorite in this one, but the Hammers have the talent to stir the pot atop the Zeta conference standings with an upset here.

Eindhoven Breakers (2-5) at Bay Area Invaders (1-6)
The Breakers visit the Invaders with both teams already looking ahead to build a better second half of the season. The Breakers will try to do it on the back of Tyler Wilde, their talented running back, while the Invaders' quarterback Fiedler, leading the league with 12 interceptions, will try to avoid the mistakes that have plagued his offense thusfar this season.

Zeta Game of the Week
Munich Maulers (4-3) at Italian Stallions (7-0)
The undefeated Stallions play host to the Maulers this week. A talented team that has had trouble since moving from Cologne, the Maulers will need to play perfectly today to give themselves a chance against the top ranked Stallions.

Rockaway Knights 48 Liege Red Roosters 3
The Knights rolled to their sixth straight win behind a powerful running attack. JD Legend broke this one off for 50 yards midway through the first quarter to put Rockaway up 14-0. They never looked back.

Rome Bulls 48 Downey Vikings 6
Rome won the battle in the trenches, and it showed on the scoreboard as well as the box score. Crash Johnson had 11 hurries and 2 sacks, doubling his total on the season. Chevis Jackson picked things up in the secondary, picking up 7 pass deflections. This punt return for touchdown by Brady Baird gave the Bulls a 24-6 halftime lead.

Camelot Kings 79 Copenhagen Razorbacks 3
Camelot didn't have any trouble this week, and the Razorbacks remain winless for a little while longer. Camelot racked up a staggering 616 yards on the ground, with their primary backs going for over 250 yards a piece. Speed Pike had his first big run of the day with this 73 yard scamper in the first quarter.

Ironton Tanks 36 Hamburg Parrots 0
Another week, another shutout by the Tanks' defense. Ironton's kicker, Paige Turner led all scorers in this one with a perfect day going 3 for 3 on extra points and 5 for 5 on field goals, including three over 40 yards. Linebacker Randall Bazell spent a lot of time in the backfield today, finishing with a sack, a hurry, and two tackles for a loss. JD Hardin had the defensive backfield covered with 7 pass deflections and this interception.

Chelsea Cardinals 17 Gibraltar Wild Monkeys 0
The Chelsea defense blanked the Wild Monkeys, while the offense rushed for over 200 yards on the day. The Cardinals started the scoring on this 7 yard rumble by fullback Jason Holt.

Brighton Bears 19 Helsinki Hammers 13
One of the toughest games of the day happened here. The Bears and Hammers traded scores for much of this one. Two field goals in the fourth quarter ensured the victory for Brighton. Brighton's kicker Matt Morgan was perfect on the day, hitting all 4 of his field goal attempts including one from 50 yards. Flex EZ was efficient on the day if not dazzling, with the exception of his lone touchdown pass in the first quarter to a streaking Phil Elliot.

Bay Area Invaders 24 Eindhoven Breakers 20
The Invaders come out on top of a close one at home and add their second win of the season. Invader quarterback Jay Fiedler had a strong game. While throwing yet another pick (still tied for the league lead), he also added two touchdowns to his stat sheet and completed 21 of his 32 passes for nearly 250 yards. This pass, the second touchdown for Joao Victor on the day, gave Bay Area a 14-13 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Italian Stallions 38 Munich Maulers 3
The Maulers led for a time in this one on a first quarter field goal. It was to be short lived however as the Stallions run away with this one to remain undefeated. Backup quarterback Harry Potter got substantial playing time for the Stallions in this one. He took advantage of the opportunity completing 4 of his 5 passes for 63 yards and this touchdown late in the third quarter.

Judah Lions 23 Amsterdam Fire 16
A fourth quarter barrage propelled Judah to the win and handed Amsterdam their third straight defeat. After Nick Novak's 33 yard field goal tied the game with 3:32 left in the fourth quarter, the Lions' Sarge Decker capped the very next drive with his second rushing touchdown of the day, which proved to be the game winner.

Barcelona Bulls 29 Paris Penguins 9
Barcelona wasn't the friendly host in this one, shutting down the Paris offense. Amidst the field goal fest, the Bulls averaged over 6 yards per carry on the ground, and McTruck banged in this touchdown in the fourth quarter.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=8095826

Liverpool Scousers 9 Ljublana Chamois Scabs 6
Liverpool got back in the win column this week after a kicking duel with Ljublana. This interception by Phoenix Overland in Scab territory set up the final Scouser field goal, securing them the victory.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=8093585

Rotterdam Harbourmasters 12 Zurich Gnomes 7
Though ultimately falling short against Rotterdam in this one, the Gnomes came to play in this one. They kept the Harbourmasters, a team averaging 22 points per coming in to the game, out of the endzone. Zurich even led early on after this touchdown strike from Thornton to James Mickey.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=8097714

Cherry Valley Wizards 27 Tilburg Fighters 26
Cherry Valley came away with win #2 thanks to a late score against Tilburg this week. After an early Fighter touchdown, the Wizards never let themselves get out of striking distance. This touchdown run by Tilburg with less than two minutes remaining in the game looked like it would be enough.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=8100863
However, that missed extra point would soon come back to haunt them. Three plays later, Zayne Losman hit Luke Losman on third down for this 57 yard game-winning touchdown.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=8101000

West Yorkshire Bling 24 Berlin Blitzkrieg 20
West Yorkshire barely hangs on to claim their third straight victory and move their record to 5-3. A fourth quarter Berlin touchdown got them within 4, but they would never get closer. With two great performances by the opposing quarterbacks in this one, Kennedy McClane came out with the edge, completing 84% of his passes for 259 yards and 3 touchdowns. The first of the three came in the opening period with this pass to Stefan Effenberg.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=8097365

Massillon Grizzlies 12 Madrid Hares 0
Not a lot of scoring to write home about as the Grizzlies quietly push their record to 6-2. Rachery Capone ground up 107 yards on 29 carries for Massillon, and Knight pitched in with 49 yards and the games only touchdown.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=8099080

Whitechapel Rippers 17 Scotland Celtics 3
The Rippers walk away from this one still undefeated, though it was undoubtedly their toughest contest of the season. The Celtics defense came out strong and nearly afforded their team the upset. The game was in doubt until this fourth quarter touchdown pass from Scott Sauber to Clayton Passehl. "I'll Take That Ball Outta Your Hands" got his hand on the ball but couldn't reel it in, putting in doubt his rather long and suddenly inaccurate moniker.
