First I want to start off by saying that I loved the idea when it was up in the forums. I'm kinda sad by the fact that the points all come at once rather than giving us something to do on the off season, but that's minor. The fact that it carries over into the season more than makes up for it.

I have a quick question, though.

How does last night's change affect "right now"? In other words, if I create a player today, or in the next few days, do I get a handful of points that will make me competitive with players created on day 40 of this s24? Or is this change a "this point forward" sort of solution and players created today will start with nothing because it's day "nothing"?

creating a player today will get the extra training bonus points as if made on day 40

its just for the offseason as well, so if you make a player in the start of season 25, you wont get the bonus

And right - tonight it rolls over to next season. So if I create a guy on Wednesday, I would get 4 points for the 2 days that have elapsed since season start (Monday), not 10 days worth.

All my guys have 24 points (The day 40 and Day 41 builds), shouldn't they have 26? 8 + 18 (Day 49 has 9 rollovers).

Added: Never mind - it's what I get for sleeping Saturday away. 24 is the number even if we have 53 day offseasons.

Also, in order to make creating dots in-season reasonable, you'll get training points from the previous offseason + preseason minus points for whatever day it is. So if you create a guy on day 3, he'll get the 17 days worth of training points - 6, or 28.

Level 1 players will also have the point limit relaxed so they don't get reset to 14 if they don't spend em right away.

Do day 40 builds end up with 2 extra TPs compared to offseason builds in the new system?

I would think so. I am pretty sure they do not add in the extra 2TPs if you build on day 41 as compared to if you build on day 40.

day 40-48= 9 days , day -8 to 0=9 days for total of 18 days.

I could be wrong though, adding my days incorrectly, and either admin confirmation or days40 and 41 of season 25 will tell for sure

40-48 is 9 days but only 8 rollovers (since 40 is the creation day)

So I made a player today by didn't get the extra TPs
