Man, I'd say.
Not only an upset, but a BIG statement: 23-3.
Great game, guys. Anymore games like that (especially in the next two weeks), and you could work yourself right into the playoffs.

yep, we needed that one. We still have work to do but I feel a lot better seeing what we're capable of.

You all are definitely better than the team we beat earlier this season. Much improved. Your upcoming two week stretch will test your team's mettle, I think. 2 wins will get you in great position for the playoffs. 1 might be pushing it.

And wait a minute, are you "THE" jamez, from the Sabre? WAHOO-WA, brother!
Long time reader, but I've never posted. Been tempted to start an account though, for sure!

lol @ "THE jamez"...yeah, I'm the same one. ChesapeakeHoo got a few of us hooked on GLB. One of my players is on a team with DAMHoo and HAZER, in fact. Small world, I guess...I just saw the V Sabres and thought I'd give ya a shout out.
I moved to Florida back in February so I won't get to go to all the games in Cville like I had been, but I am planning on going back for the USC game. In the mean time, I'm getting more and more addicted to THIS damn game so I'll probably run into you again on here.

Haha, sweet.
And it's insanely easy to get hooked on this game if you create any number of players at all. Heck, I was hooked with my first 3!

I hope to be able to come down for a few games this year. I'll have to hit up eBay/StubHub or some other site if I want to come down for the USC game. I really could make a day trip out of it; I'm in law school in PA, and it's about 3 hours. I'd like to get down for the Miami game too, since one of my really good friends in PA is a rabid Miami fan. But a cool one; he took the 48-0 trashing with some pretty good grace.

It is indeed a small world. Best of luck to you, on GLB and in Florida (better than these mountain winters, for sure). I'm sure I'll be seeing you around these parts.

Well, with all this Wahoo talk, I feel it's only right to mention the Virginia-ECu football game this year. Should be a great one. I look forward to the Pirate Ship sailing into Charlottesville and kicking a little wahoo butt!!! LOL

Seriously though, it should be a good game. I'm interested to see how my Pirates perform after losing our stud rb to the pro's.

Kicking some Wahoo butt might not be terribly farfetched!
I think we'll be much better than people realize, but it's still hard to have the offseason attrition that we did and be highly competitive. I think the whole key to our season is the performance of the offensive line. With 2 solid RBs and a sophomore QB, it's on their broad shoulders this year. And the ECU game is one of those where I won't be able to predict it: a very close one indeed!

And I definitely have to give ECU their due. Skip Holtz has turned them into a serious matchup for anyone. They've definitely made huge strides over the past decade.

Thanks, and I agree. Skip has done a FANTASTIC job. Unfortunately, we tend to be one of those schools that a coach comes to, does well for a couple of years, and then goes to a "major" college. I can only hope Skip will hang around awhile.

Sounds like Virginia with regards to coordinators. Our OC and DC positions are like a revolving door. Too bad Mike Groh's going to be stuck in the OC revolving door for a little while, it appears. In the last 4 years, we've lost 3 coordinators (that I know of) to be head coaches elsewhere.
I hope Skip does stick around. It really benefits the players to have continuity.

well, as a Marshall alum ( <- as you can see) and the fact that I've been a UVA fan since I was a kid, I'm excited to have Bobby Pruett as the new DC for the Hoos, but yeah, it's gonna be interesting to see how both teams will play this season, and sorry William but I'll be rooting against ECU twice lol

ALTHOUGH, I'd love nothing more than for the Pirates to start 2-0 since you open with the 2 teams that I despise more than any other form of evil in the world!
