Capitol Showdown!
The DC area will be treated to a battle between two of the nation's best as the Slashers face off against the Wolfpack. Owner, President, Head Coach, General Manager, Press Secretary and Head Groundskeeper Painmaker of the Washington Wolfpack was quoted before the game as saying, "Preparation, as always, is the key to victory. Our team will fight as one and this single-minded brutality should carry the day." The only Slashers representative this writer was able to locate refused comment from behind his hockey mask, although the chainsaw's roar said plenty as the Slashers' intention are unmistakable.
The game is expected to hinge upon which team is able to enforce their will on the game: will the Wolfpack's high-flying passing attack sink the Slashers, or will the Slashers' brand of ball control and field position leave the Wolfpack sitting high and dry when the fourth quarter ends?
Prediction: Wolfpack 26, Slashers 23

Ball control?
We practice ball control?
Man, I've watched Siya, and I'm not so sure of this ball control of which you speak.
We might have mixed up a lot of fuel-oil mix for some 2-cycle engines, though...

In the West, 4-3 Scarlett Knights vs. 5-2 Hedgehogs has some intrigue. Both of these teams beat the Horde. The victor here claims legitimacy for a good playoff seed.

I've really been slacking lately. The CWS was in town and I've been drinking our losing streak away. I'll hopefully get back in the predictions next week. Sorry.

I don't know about good, but should be close, at least.

I predict another defensive battle for Fury today.
Fury/Wolves should be another classic.
