I agree with all of this because I think it will happen exactly like you said. The playoffs actually look really strong this season, especially the west top 4, who IMO far outclass the rest of the west, unlike the east where I think the conference is slightly more even, but the top 4 are clear based on season records as FG finished fifth and was blown out by teams 1-4. Crackertown hasn't lost since September 8th and Maine is looking very good right now, so your championship pick is hard to argue with. Honestly, the only things there that might not happen are FG beating Ogopogo and Maine beating SBWL.

Ya, those games will be close and could go either way, but I just reversed my pick in the FGC vs Ogo game after taking a closer look at the two teams.

If I had to rank my top 8 overall teams, they would be...

#1 CrackerTown Juniors - they finished with the #1 offense and #2 defense in all of Gold and have been red hot the 2nd half of the season. I just don't see anyone beating them and they showed they can defeat a top level team when they dominated BB.

#2 Maine Grenadiers - just like CTJ, they have become very hot recently and finished the season with the #3 offense and #5 defense.

#3 Short Bus Window Lickers - the only reason they are not #2 is due to their two recent losses, one to my 85'B and one to FGC, otherwise they would be a solid #2. They are neck in neck with MG and if they play each other, that game could really go either way.

#4 Chicago 85' Bears - my team finished with the #4 offense & #3 defense in Gold and has been good all season. When playing well, they can beat any team, but can also lay an egg to the better teams at the same time.

#5 Boendby Pee Wee Bengals - has been good all season and finished with the #9 offense and the #1 defense, but was dominated by CTJ, so their weaknesses have started to show up and could be beat when scouted well.

#6 Ogopogo Lake Monsters - is a dangerous team and could easily make the championship game if they get hot in the playoffs, but their track record against the top teams.

#7 The Insane Asylum - After winning the Gold championship last season, they finished the regular season with only one loss, but their wins were not as impressive as last season. Also, the agent with about half of the team's players is inactive and if he doesn't return, TIA's chance for a repeat will be minimal. Only a sleeper if that agent returns.

#8 Fighting Gamecocks - always a dangerous team, but has been dominated by the top teams this season, so unless they get hot, I don't see them going far.

FGC is definitely a contender, their D is very tight...they should be at least 6 imo

And the FG and 85B losses were extremely close losses, not sure how they will affect much...

No doubt we're a contender but I don't think we are head and shoulders above Boendby by any stretch.. regular season game meant nothing.. official tourney game , we scored 4 times, they scored 3 times.. they had Time of possession and we had total yard advantage. a play or two differently and it's a tight game. If we both advance and meet, I'm sure we'll get their best shot. I doubt if we have received that yet from them. .. and vice versa..
